Dear our families, relatives and friends,
Wow, it is time already to write our Christmas Newsletter. This year feels like it's gone by faster than last year. Obiviously we are still busy running around the clock throught a year. We had a marvelous and joyous year.
The first thing, we would like to say is about our 25th anniversary wedding celebration. We were so happy to have a reception party from our sons, Michael and Mark who were the host and also we had a marvelous time spending with our families, relatives and friend to be together for a special event once in a lifetime. The food was so splendid especially the cake from a French bakery was so good. It was supposed to be hosted in June, but due to Mark's games and tournaments, we were so conflicted. At last, they hosted in July for us. We appreciated it very much from our sons, showing us their gratitude for being their parents See the photos here.
After our anniversary party, it was next day for our younger son, Mark for his graduation party. We rented a shelter with grill outside. We obtained a nice shot of Mark's many cousins together. We had another wonderful time chatting with our families, relatives and friends as well.
After the graduation party, our nephew, Peter invited all of us over to his beautiful house with garden and many lantern poles on the landscape for another gathering party that evening. What a wonderful night! We appreciated his friendly invitation and open-hearted for all of us.
We had been checking the list for Mark's college such as financial aid, clothing and other things for his dormitory. He has decided to choose the Mohawk Valley Community College. (MVCC) in Utica, New York. His major is Liberal Arts for now. He has been selected for soccer play for MVCC. His team was playing very well for NJCAA. (Division III) His team was 12 wins, 2 losses and 2 tied. At one point, his team was ranked 4th in the nation. Awesome! He missed his opportinuty for playoffs due to his ankle injury. Wishing him best of luck in school and soccer.
Our older son, Mike has been an independence lifestyle such as his own apartment, full time job at Xerox and part time job at Target. He is doing fine and always busy. He loves to come over here eating his mother's homemade Italian tomato sauce with pasta every Sunday.
Last July, Mark's Rochester Fotbul (soccer) Club (RFC) was a champion of the STATE CUP of New York State Western at last. His achievement came true. He felt so good and his team did playing very well. We watched him for the regionals in Buffalo with our cousin - Cartwright Family. The regionals were the best teams from the North Eastern Region before entering the nation for a final champion. They beat the Maine Team 2 to 0. The second, they beat RFC 1 to 0. The third game was New Jersey, they blasted RFC 5 to 0 while Mark was not able to play due to ankle injury. Oh well, it was a great challenge and experience for Mark.
What great news for Arthur and Rosemary, we had been holding a special vacation for our 25th anniversary trip due to the terrorism. We made our final decision taking a fly to California on Election Day for two weeks. We took a rental car traveling to San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Deigo. We spent more time in San Francisco than in Los Angeles and San Deigo. I drove on Route 1 so we could see the beautiful ocean with rugged canyons, steep sea cliffs, and sea lions on the beach. It looked like we were on an island adventure. The East and West coastlines are so much different in views. We visited many exciting tours such as Fisherman's Wharf at Pier 39, Alcartaz Island, Muir Woods, Napa Valley Winery, Whale Watch in Monterey Bay, Hearst Castle, Universal Studios, San Deigo Zoo, and other many tours as well. It was so great for our vacation. We were so busy with our full schedule of attraction tours. We were tireless and so happy. You will see some of our pictures in the HYPERLINK. Hope you will enjoy reading and see our photos in there.
We want to say wishing you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a splendid NEWYEAR! Love, Arthur, Rosemary and Mark Email: [email protected]
