The body of Finn lies motionless on the ground below, for several minutes.

Guards scurry, finding his body - they retrieve a litter, and bring him back inside - to the infirmary/guest sitting room. A messenger is sent out to the Healer's guild,
requesting one to come, as quickly as possible.

The guards leave the room, and search the keep, eventually leaving Finn to search the grounds inside the wall...

Slowly, the body melts and then re-forms - into something that doesn't look like Finn. It's humanoid, certainly. The skin is nearly pitch black. It snarls, looks around,
then flickers back to Finn-shape, and Finn-likeness ... Then, it pauses, and changes into the likeness of a servant. It lets itself back into the halls of the residence,
making its way to the room it inhabited. It begins packing items, to leave before daybreak.

Far away, in a cabin in the woods somewhere south of MourningWood Glen, Finn McGill awakes with a start from a nightmare about drowning. He splutters in his
sleep, nearly awakening Miranda. After walking outside to take in the moonlight, he resolves to consult with the Diviner's Guild about these nightmares he's been
having since coming back from Faerie.

The 'servant' gathered up a few items from the room, and noticed that the guards had removed the letter it had been working on. It snarled again. "It won't do for
them to suspect..."

It checked the surroundings, and proceeded to work it's way down to the front gate. Once there, it was stopped by Rockhound;

"Hold it," he rumbled, "No one in or out - Guard's orders."

"Ah, well, thankee. Was just going to the market..."

"Sorry. No exceptions".

"None at all... er, well.."

"Sorry."

It walked away, excitement coursing. "If I cannot leave, I shall have to do something very vulgar ... forcing my way is out of the question..."

Frowning, almost snarling, it made it's way to the stables, to hide in the hayloft while it underwent the painful, long change back to looking like Finn.

Far off, in MourningWood, Finn McGill has located a member of the diviner's guild, to consult with regarding his nightmares. She stares into her crystal ball... And
this is what she tells him:

"I see - a contest, in another world. I see a shadow - your shadow - leaving that contest. It has made its way back to here, back to the Hills. I see you, too, leaving
that contest..."

"What? Me and my shadow left in different directions? My shadow is right here!"

"Yes... so it is. When you had this contest... why did you enter? And what was the prize?"

"I was tricked... No, not really. I entered it - the reward - was to lift the burden from my soul."

The seer laughs, (and Finn is offended by it) - "Oh, that is quite an interesting prize. I take it now you are unburdened?"

"Yes, Yes I am. I've felt lighter, freer, happier since that day..."

"Well. Where do you think that burden went to? I am guessing this contest was in Faerie, am I right? Nothing truly disappears there, you know."

"Yes, It was in Faerie... The shadow you saw - "

"It is the shadow from your soul, Finn."

Finn sits down, amazed... "It fits, somehow. People telling me they saw me here, when I was in Faerie. People picking up conversations with me I never started, and
wanting to know why I did things I never did. I have a , a..."

"A doppleganger. A Finn doppleganger."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Cousin??"

Now what I wonder. I finally figure out a way to knock out the last Redhawk cub and my cousin shows up?

"This had better be a good reason to bother me now D?"

"There is. An unidentified creature has been spotted in Daharahn."

"What a Garou?"

"No. Something else. Something that can turn into mist."

"What?? A Kindred? That's impossible. There's only one Kindred-like person and he... Oh ick!! Let's go find Sean."

"Another thing, Change."

"What, you hyperactive pixie?"

"This creature's killed Finn." "Oh you say that like this 'Reality' is falling apart, again?"

"Yes."

Moments later in Daharahan
"Lot of guards, C."

I shake my head "What are you worried about, you're invisible."

"True."

A huge guard stands at the gate of the place where Finn was killed.

"Shall I?" D says notching a mystical arrow to his bow.

"No wait, Who's that?" I point to the servant that just stepped out. The person looks like a servant, but even the youngest of fae creatures can see its true form under
its seeming. A dark shadowy form

"A doppleganger? Who invited a doppleganger?", we asked each other.

Somehow a trode to the Dreaming has opened and more fae like creatures are showing up.

"Something's not right here. Cousin Find Breca and ask him if he's invited any back from the Fae Homeland. I'm going to talk to Sean."

Three hours later.
"Squire Sean."

"I can't talk to you now. I have a situation here."

"Like the pseudo-death of Lord Finn McGill."

"Yes, and ... Pseudo? What do you mean pseudo?"

"That's you next lesson. Something or in this case someone is playing you for a fool."

"What? Who?"

"I don't know? You'll find out." A simple utterance of words and I return to Tow'land Forest.
