Tidus' Overdrive is called Swordplay. There is a moving bar that you have to stop in the middle by hitting the X button. The quicker you stop it in the middle, the more damage is inflicted on the enemy.

YUNA
Yuna's Overdrive is called Grand Summon. Any Aeon summoned will have it's Overdrive gauge full. After the Aeon uses it's Overdrive the gauge will return to its previous position thus not wasting the Overdrive.
AURON
Auron's Overdrive is called Bushido. It requires the quick input of specific button combos in a tight time limit. The quicker you put in the combination the stronger the attack will be. Each overdrive has a status effect it causes on the enemy. If you fail to put in the combination it will still cause damage but have no status effect.

Kimari's Overdrive is called Ronso Rage. Kimahri has to use his Lancet ability to learn new moves  from enemies. Once he learns a new move his Overdrive gauge will fill up immediately.
Lulu's Overdrive is called Fury. This allows her to use multiple spells without losing MP and distribute it among all enemies. You have to rotate the right analog stick clockwise as many times as you can within the time limit. She can use her Overdrive even if she has run out of MP or is Silenced. You can rotate the analog stick a maximum of 16 times and you have to learn the revelent spell before you can use it.
Rikku's Overdrive is called Mix. You select 2 items from your inventory, mix them together and use the result. This can be a defensive or offensive effect. To see all 64 variants go to Combine Items.

WAKKA
Wakka's Overdive is called Slots. He has 4 Overdrives and his first one is called Elemental Reels. He can receive the others by winning Blitzball games. You have to press X to stop the 3 spinning reels one after the other. It has a time limit with which to do this in. There are 4 coloured symbols on each reel representing the 4 elements. If you manage to stop the reels on 3 identical symbols the attack will be directed at all enemies. His second Overdrive is called Attack reels. There are 2 symbols on the reels, 1 Hit and 2 Hit. The number on each 3 reels are added up and Wakka will attack that many times. If you get 3 identical symbols the total is doubled making the maximum number of attacks 12. His third Overdrive is called Status Reels. There are 3 symbols, the Skull which causes Poison, Sleep, Silence and Silence, the Down Arrow which causes Full Break and the Timer which causes Petrification. If you stop 3 identical symbols the status effects will be inflicted on all enemies. Wakka's last Overdrive is called Aurochs Reels. The reels have all the symbols plus an extra Aurochs symbol. If you manage to stop the reels on 3 of these symbols it will cause extreme damage to all enemies.
