| AEONS |
| After Yuna has entered a temple and received the blessing of the fayth than she can summon the Aeon in battle. Aeons can use some of the most powerful attacks in the game along with the ability to use magic and their Overdrives are simply amazing. By pressing right on the directional pad when an Aeon is in battle a list of more commands appear. Shield causes the Aeon defend itself on the enemy's next turn. This reduces the damage taken but the Overdrive gauge will not fill up at all. Boost causes the Aeon to take more damage on the enemy's next turn but the Overdrive gauge will fill up twice as fast. Dismiss sends the Aeon away and the party continues the battle. Once you have the item 'Summoner's Soul' you can use items to teach the Aeon new abilities. You can't teach new abilities to the Aeons, Yojimbo and The Magus Sisters. Once you have the item 'Aeon's Soul' you can increase the Aeon's statistics using spheres. The number of spheres needed to increase a statistic depends on how high the statistic is. |
