Jeff said, as Pahohe stepped onto their mats. "Welcome, Toheto." Jeff said, as Toheto walked towards their mats. "This is, the reward. Before I explain the rules, let's see what you'll be playing for." Jeff moved, and three crates appeared. "In one box...a telephone. You will use a telephone out here to call home, for exactly TWO MINUTES. In another box...a picnic basket. Self explanatory. And in another...are 3 bags of mush. Another self explanatory item. Whoever wins, gets to pick what box they want. It's all a matter of skill and luck." Jeff said. "Now, for the reward. You will need speed...and courage to step up to bat. Toheto, you need to sit someone out. It can't be Barry." Toheto chose Marianne. "Now...Pahohe and Toheto, pick your three strongest members, and your three fastest members." Pahohe picked James, Taly, and Sonja, while Toheto picked Chris, Stephanie, and Phoebe. "Okay. Now, the three remaining people on each team, will get to the end of the first leg. Once the three people carry their log to them, they will untie them, and they will begin to run to the finish line. Both the people that are standing there, and the person who just carried the log. Once ALL SIX MEMBERS of your tribe are past the finish line, you'll win. Pahohe, your end of Leg 1 people are Karl, Helga, and Tatiana. Toheto, yours are Barry, Rachel, and Mark. Is everything understood?" Jeff asked. The twelve people nodded, as Marianne watched. "For a nice reward...Survivor ready? GO!" And they were off. James was in the lead at first, and was clearly the strongest one out of them. He pulled his log halfway, and stopped At the same time, Chris was catching up, while Phoebe and Stephanie were still at the beginning. Taly and Sonja were making good time, they were in the lead against Phoebe and Stephanie. (In the Lead : Pahohe) Chris caught up to James, as they both reached the end of leg number one. Tatiana untied James' rope, while Barry had trouble untieing Chris' rope, but eventually got it. Stephanie was ahead of Phoebe, but not by much. They both reached the end, and Mark and Rachel untied their ropes. (In the Lead : Toheto) James was running hard along with Tatiana. They both reached the finish line, as the six members of Toheto were all running. Taly and Sonja finished, as Karl and Helga untied their ropes. It was almost dead even. (In the Lead : Pahohe) Helga and Sonja finished, just as Chris, Mark, Rachel, and Barry finished. Both members still had two people racing. Pheobe and Stephanie for one tribe, Karl and Taly, for another. (Tribes Even) Karl finished, and started to cheer Taly on. "COME ON TALY!" He yelled, trying to catch his breath. Phoebe slipped and fell, as Stephanie finished. "Oh damn..." Marianne muttered. "COME ON!! YOU CAN DO IT!" She yelled. (In the Lead : Pahohe) Taly was running, but Phoebe had no trouble catching up with her. Slipping again, Taly finished before Phoebe. Pahohe had won the reward. "DAMNIT!" Phoebe said, as she crossed the finish line, muddy. "Pahohe, you win. Now time for your box choosing. You can choose Box number one, Box number two, or Box number three. Choose now!" James was their spokesperson. "Well, we say that Box number one always has the good stuff, so how about box number one Jeff." Jeff opened up the box, and pulled out a red telephone. "A two minute telephone call for each of you. We have your family members on the line, ready. Toheto, you can go back to camp. I'll see you tomorrow for Immunity." Toheto walked off, Phoebe looking back with her muddy face. *RING RING* The telephone rang. "Hey mom! I only have two minutes, so it'll go by fast. How's the family? Good? That's good. I can't believe this place! It's so cool! Yep, i'm still here, don't worry about me. The game's going great...but I don't want to spoil anything. How are you???" The two minutes was almost up. "Mom?"
