Take a pinecone and cover it with lots of peanut butter. Roll the
pinecone in bird seed until completely covered. Tie a ribbon at
the top of the pinecone for hanging. Wrap in saran wrap and
attach the poem below to it. Tell children to take it home and
hang it on a tree. Add the following poem:
Here's a gift for all the lovely birds...
For although they cannot speak the words,
And they may find lots of worms on which to feed,
Their favorite still is peanut butter with bird seed!
