Essential Rules
  • Managers may only manage one club at a time. Assistant Managers are allowed to be appointed, but the Assistant can not have another job on the site, and with such a range of clubs available to manage the likelihood of assistant managers are slim.
  • You must not go into debt. A maximum of £1,000,000 debt is the allowed sum, in which you will have a week to get out of. Debt higher then this could cost you your job.
  • No inappropriate topics or inappropriate language on the message boards. Please refrain from bickering with other managers on the boards. If you feel you have to get your point accross you can always submit a subtle media story expressing your feelings on a certain manager. I am sure that the media journalists will thrive on it.

Squads

  • No less then 16 players in a team, no more then 40 players in a team.
  • There is no specific retirement age
  • If a player retires in real life, expect the player to retire from the FFO at the end of the FFO season.

Matchday

  • Managers must meet the teamsheet submission deadlines. If a manager fails to do so a random squad and formation will be played.
  • If a manager persists on failing to submit a teamsheet they could lose their job.
  • Ensure that there are no mistakes in your teamsheet. Frequent mistakes could lead into a small fine. You will be notified on a weekly basis of any mistakes you have made in your teamsheet until the penny drops.
  • Please check that you do not put any injured or suspended players in your teamsheet.
  • Each league has there own administrator so you will be notified where to email your teamsheets too.
  • For every 3 teamsheets handed in on time your club will receive a £100,000 teamsheet bonus.

Transfers

  • Clubs may purchase a maximum of 2 players a week from their own nation and 1 player a week from abroad. e.g. AC Milan may buy 2 players from Seria A and 1 player from a league in a different country per week.
  • Clubs may sell a maximum of 3 players a week.
  • Transfers have to be confirmed on the confirmation message board. Leave the details of the transfer and both managers must confirm the transfer.
  • Once the transfer has been confirmed the player will give his demands on the confirmation message board. Contracts will be ongoing until a deal is agreed.
  • Transfers updated every Tuesday
  • To keep the game realistic, some players may refuse to join certain clubs as they see it as a downward step in their career. If a player refuses to negotiate the transfer will have to be terminated. The likelihood of this happening is slim but only applicable to examples like Zinedine Zidane being sold from Real Madrid to Stoke City for example.
  • The Board can sanction a transfer if the Board feels that it will not benefit the club.

Contracts

  • Each player has a weekly wage but you will be charged monthly wages.
  • You may only offer new contracts to players whose contracts are due to expire at the end of the season.
  • There will be a set contract renewing window in which to negotiate new contracts with your players.
  • After a few months of the contract window opening other clubs will be allowed to offer contracts to these players if you have failed to agree a new deal with the player. You will still be allowed to negotiate with him even though other clubs are also putting there offers on the table.
  • Players are demanding and if the club is not going in the direction he expects dont be shocked if he thinks about moving elsewhere.
  • Each player will have there expectations listed on your clubs contract page.
  • Every month player wages will have to be paid for.

Loans

  • A club can loan a maximum of 8 players to there club at one time.
  • There is no restriction on the amount of players you loan out
  • You must state how long the loan is for, i.e. whether its a season long loan or just for a month etc.
  • You must also state whether the club can recall the player back or whether he must remain for the full period of the loan.
  • You may charge clubs to loan your players to get extra cash, a good idea is to charge the exact fee of the players wages so your not paying for a player not currently playing for your club.
  • Players can be loaned from a club to another club in the same division.
  • Players can be loaned from a club to another club that are in different countries.

Buying Players from Abroad

  • You may have noticed that there are other leagues on the game.
  • There will be a 2 month transfer window in which transfers can be negotiated with these clubs.
  • You may buy 3 players from non league teams a week once the window is open.
  • The window is due to open in December and close late February

Chairmans

  • Each club has there own individual chairman with his own individual character
  • Each chairman has a worst situation column. This states what the chairman wants you to avoid. If you find yourself in that situation you may find your job in jeapordy.
  • However, it is not necessarily an immediate sacking you may get an extra period to turn things around.
  • Chairmans will update you on there thoughts throughout the season.

Supporters

  • The supporters will let you know what they think of their clubs current situation.
  • Each club has a different type of supporter so keep yours eyes peeled on their thoughts.
