| 1. Which FF magazine(s) and/or website(s) do you primarily use as a reference for your Draft & upcoming season and why? The ONLY magazine I purchase is the Fantasy Index. In years past, I would buy numerous publications, only to be totally overwhelmed come draft time. I like how the information is presented in this magazine, PLUS I know the bulk of the owners in my league use this magazine and their Cheat Sheet as their bible. As for sites, I think footballguys.com offers the most comprehensive info on the net. The programs you can download and customize and personalize to your own league's scoring system is invaluable. 2. What is your strategy come Draft Day? Do you look for a certain position, i.e. RB's? Do you shy away from certain Teams? Which ones? Is one position deeper this year than another (position)? Rule #1 - if I can't get one of the big Quarterbacks (Garcia, Manning or Warner) I wait to draft a QB a little later on. Generally I like to load up on Running Backs and Wide Receivers early, esp. Running Backs. This year I will definitely shy away from the Texans for obvious reasons. Another team I may avoid is the G-Men. Never have been a big Kerry Collins fan and I just dont think they're that good offensively. 3. Who is the most overrated Quarterback this year and why? I have to go with Rich Gannon. I just can't see him putting up comparable numbers to the last few years. I know he is tough and gritty and all that, but Mr. Gruden is gone and basking in the sun in Tampa. I know they are going to keep the same offensive scheme, but all key components at the skill positions save for Charlie Garner and getting closer to AARP membership in age. 4. Who is the most overrated Running Back this year and why? Curtis Martin. Has he proven to be durable? Without question. Is he as stable as they come? You bet. But I just think this may be the year he shows signs of slowing down. Look for 1,100 yards and 6-7 TD's. 5. Who is the most overrated Wide Receiver this year and why? Jimmy Smith. Yes he has maybe had the quietest exceptional career in the history of professional sports. Boy that's saying a lot. But he has been extremely productive the last 4-5 years. But, he too is getting up there in years. And no Keenan McCardell this year. Yes Darnay Scott is in to take his place, but there is substitute for chemistry. Plus he's playing with possibly thee most over-rated fantasy football player ever in Mark Brunell. 6. Pass along one (can't share 'em all!) Sleeper pick this year and why? Watch out for that Troy Hambrick of Dallas. As soon as Emmitt breaks Sweetness' record, Hambrick will get the ball a lot more. 7. In which Round do you start thinking about a Kicker or Defense? Or do you let the others dictate that, when there's a run on one or both of these positions, do you then jump in? I generally wait for the run to start, but not always. If there are other players from the other positions still in the board that I want, I will wait a little longer to draft a K or D. 8. Who do you think has the possibility of not being drafted at all, yet could be a potential quality Free Agent sometime during the season? Last year Tony Richardson had 7 TD's. Look for him to repeat or better that this year. 9. Among those who performed well last season, who will fall the farthest in terms of production from last year to this year and why? Jimmy Smith -- see above. 10. Final Score of the Super Bowl? Eagles 24 Steelers 14 |
