Question & Answer Poll - 2002 Season

1. Which FF magazine(s) and/or website(s) do you primarily use as a reference for your Draft & upcoming season and why?

The Philadelphia Inquirers Pro Football Preview due August 23rd. It was the choice of former Prudential League Runner-Up, Kevin Bradley.

Actually, I buy one of the rags in the supermarket. I think this year, I got Sporting News/Yahoo Fantasy Football. I also look at Draft Sharks website only.

2. What is your strategy come Draft Day? Do you look for a certain position, i.e. RB's? Do you shy away from certain Teams? Which ones? Is one position deeper this year than another (position)?

This year, the Gorgons will be all-business. No jokes. No "take him" plug remarks. I might even come in a suit with a hat ala Tom Landry. The Gorgons have a new slogan this year and it is, "Gorgons 2002: Keeping It Real Baby!"

I will be looking at building my team with a QB first, hopefully, Kurt Warner. I shy away from all Cowboys, no matter what. Im not sure about one position being deeper than another this year.

3. Who is the most overrated Quarterback this year and why?

Id have to say that Brett Favre. He is without Antonio Freeman this year. No Billy Schroeder, hell, not even Corey Bradford! And unless Sterling Sharpe is coming out of retirement, hell be throwing to that "sissy" (says Bill Parcells) Terry Glenn. I dont see a good fit for Glenn with Favre. And, I believe that this is the year that Favre goes down in return for giving Strahan the sack title on that lame sack in last years last game of the year versus the G-Men. This year, Warren Sapp finally gets his man. Look for Favre to have injury problems this year and our ol friend Doug Pederson to crank it up for the Pack. Remember, you heard it here first.

4. Who is the most overrated Running Back this year and why?

Without a doubt it has to be Priest Holmes. I mean come on this guy had a career year last season and will be hard-pressed to duplicate that effort in 2002. I cant see the guy running for over 1,500 yards this year. Nada. Nest pas! Nyet. Aint gonna happen this year.

Runner up is definitely the A-Train, Anthony Thomas. The freaking Bears were the luckiest team in the league last year and the Eagles exposed their weaknesses to a national TV audience. No more soft schedule for the Bears. The A-Train is off the track and will break down more than an Acela this year.

5. Who is the most overrated Wide Receiver this year and why?

Chris Chambers, Miami Dolphins. Came on at the end of last year but cmon Jay Fiedler is his QB. Say it again slowly with me. Jay Fiedler. Not the orchestra conductor the Ivy League QB, Jay Fiedler. That is the one Achilles Heel that will hurt the fins this year. Chambers will draw double coverage this year and will open up the field for Orande Gadsden. Take him instead. Chambers has the look of a bust this year. A Brian Blades-type player that can get you 4-5 TDs a year but doesnt have the big Jerry Rice-type year.

6. Pass along one (can't share 'em all!) Sleeper pick this year and why?

Jerry Rice. Been working out like a demon this year and is looking to show people that he is still the greatest to ever play WR.

Duce Staley. Mark it down. This year, Duce will be on the loose. Hes out to show Big Red that it was a mistake in considering Warrick Dunn and for bringing in Dorsey Levens. Hes going back to the 201 yard opening day performance against Dallas Days. Look for double digit TDs, combined rushing and receiving. Take it to the Bank. Remember, this years Gorgons Motto Just Keeping It Real. And remember, its Show Business, not Show Friendship.

7. In which Round do you start thinking about a Kicker or Defense? Or do you let the others dictate that, when there's a run on one or both of these positions, do you then jump in?

I pick one when the run starts. I dont believe in a kicker actually making a difference unless you get one of the top 3. After that, throw em all in a hat and pick one, it dont matter. Defense is more important, but again, unless you get one of the top 3, youre cooked. If I am late to the party for either of them, Ill wait until the end of the draft to take them.

8. Who do you think has the possibility of not being drafted at all, yet could be a potential quality Free Agent sometime during the season?

Drew Bledsoe, Trent Dilfer.

9. Among those who performed well last season, who will fall the farthest in terms of production from last year to this year and why?

Anthony Thomas, Priest Holmes, Chris Chambers see above.

10. Final Score of the Super Bowl?

Eagles 34
Titans 20
