Prologue

Somewhere just outside of the Geneveran Woods stood a shrine to the once powerful Seiyru. All together, the temple had been worn down, its once brilliant sign pendent from the ceiling now settled somewhere off to the side, the paint peeling from the letters' edges. Through the holes of the paper windows, light seeped in. Throughout the entire shrine there was no electricity, and so standing in the brightest room at that time of day where two figures carefully silhouetted against a window frame.

"If you wish to pursue the summoning, a new sacrifice must be found," the figure of a man said to the girl. She stood in silence for a moment, then nodded. "Seiyru specifically demands pure blood of someone from two worlds. Someone with mysterious magical powers."

"Is there even such a person?" the lady asked. The man only smirked and nodded, a malicious glint in the corner of his blue eyes. "Where in the world can we find this person?"

"I don't think we'll find the sacrifice exactly here in this world, but don't worry, my lady, I will get right on the case," the man said. The girl smiled in his direction, sighed, and took a good look around the temple--at the scriptures scattered across the ground and the dust compiling in every corner.

"First, let's clean this place up for the ceremony."
