Match 1 - author
New Jedi Knights vs. the Fellowship
Quarter Finals Bracket 1 - Ancient Babylon

RJ:  Well Rumble fans, here it isthe last semi-final match in Babylon.  Just to recap, we have had group favorites the Incredibles and the Jedi Knights loose matches.  The winner of this match will now face of against Ender and his New Dragon Army.  George, you already have 2 teams in the quarterfinals, how well do you think your team will do here?
George:  Well, Luke Leia, and Mara have fought wellonly losing to Hulkmania.  Their opponents have lost twice.  The Force is strong with the Jedi and I feel that they will be victorious.
JJR:  BAH!  The Force-Aragorn, the Force needs he not!  (The Audience laughs at his attempt to sound like Yoda.)  By the strength of their Fellowship, have these warriors advanced.  That will continue to be true, mark my words.
Mark:  Yes, what words?  The Samurilion?  The Hobbit?  What?
Elmer:  Im confwused.
RJ:  Well then it is best that we get on to the match.  Each team enters a large arena from different sides.  Located near the center of town, it was used for meetings and sporting events.  The fighting gets underway when Mara Jade rushes her three foes.  I quick bowshot from Legolas ends the life of the former Hand of the Empire.  (Opponents of the EU cheer.)  Luke and Leia stand firm and hold their ground as their foes charge.
Mark:  Soon Anakin and Padmes twins are surrounded by a man and 2 human-type races with very old style weapons:  a sword, bow, and axe.  They do not retreat from the ancient weapons, nor do they move.
Legolas:  I am sorry we had to kill your friend; I feel no hate or malice toward you and your sister, but this is a Tournament after all.
RJ:  As Gimli moves in to attack he is somehow held back.  His axe also mysteriously falls from his hands and flies out of the stadium.  Aragorn puts his sword away.  Luke approaches his foe.
Luke:  How did you know she was my sister?
Legolas:  As an elf, I have powers of intuition, just as you seem to have.
Mark:  Aragorn begins to realize that the young man has powers similar to a wizard; this will be no ordinary match.
Aragorn:  I am Aragorn, son of Arathorn.  My companions are Legolas of the Woodland and Gimli, son of Gloin.  And who are you Master Wizard.
Luke:  I am not a wizard.  I am a Jedi, like my father before me.  I am Luke Skywalker, and this is my sister Leia.
RJ:  After all of the introductions had been made, the 5 Rumblers came to an agreement that instead of physical fighting, they would have a battle of wits to determine who would continue on.  For hour they gave each other riddles, teasers, and deep questions.  Every time the other team was able to answer correctly.  At length Aragorn asks Bilbos riddle.  It is many minutes latter that Luke, with the help of the Force, for he did not fully know the answer, finally answers:
Luke:  It must be a Ring. (George:  Way to go, my boy!)
Aragorn:  That is correct.  Your turn, my Lady.
Leia:  (After pondering for a while.  Finally remembering something, she smiles.)  How does democracy die?
Mark:  It takes the Fellowship but a few moments to concur that they do not know the answer.
Legolas:  It seems my Lady that you have beat us.  We are at your will.  (JJR:  Thats not fair-they dont have democracy in Middle Earth!)
Brian:  The Judges rule that since the Fellowship entered the contest of wits willingly, they are bound by the outcome.  Luke rises and speaks to his new friends.
Luke:  You certainly are worthy competition.  You soon will be at peace and with your own kin.
RJ:  Luke then uses the Force to compel the mini-clorions of his friends to peacefully take their hosts lives.  Each speaks their dying words.
Legolas:  I see the Grey Havenand a ship for me.
Gimli:  I see the Great Hall of Moria, full of splendor, warm fires, and malt beer.
Aragorn:  I see the White City, glorious and gleaming in a morning sunrise.
Mark:  By this time Leia is crying.  Her brothers words comfort her.
Luke:  The most difficult battles are not always between great good and horrible evil.  Many times the hardest fights are between those that are equally good.
RJ:  As Luke and Leia turn to leave we come back up here to the booth.  Mr. Lucas and Sir Tolkein have been quite speechless for some time now.  Do either of you have anything else to say before we head off to another match?
George & JJR:  I say lets go get a drink.  (They walk off together, each understanding the other a bit better.)
RJ:  Well, Ill be.  Id never though I see that.
Mark:  Well said.  This match goes to the New Jedi Knights.

Winners:  New Jedi Knights (6-1)
The Fellowship (4-3)

Match 2 - Mark Ailshie
Highlanders vs Sith Lords
Quarter Finals Bracket 3 - Stone of Tear

Darth Vader raised a hand, and suddenly Ramirez cannot breathe.  He chokes an asphixiates, but Vader doesn't release him until he falls dead.  Then he turns toward the others.
But meanwhile, Darth Maul jumps into battle against both of the MacLeods.  Connor and Duncan are taken aback by his ferocity, and their swords are no match for Darth Maul' twin bladed lightsaber.  Dooku and Vader watch with smiles on their faces as Maul cuts them both down.  In moments, Maul has sliced through their swords, rendering them weaponless, stabbed Duncan under the ribs, and then neatly decapitated Connor with the backstroke.
Maul snarls in satisfaction, and Dooku opens his mouth to congratulate him when suddenly Vader senses a tremor in the force, and suddenly Ramirez snatches his lightsaber off his belt and ignites it!
"Let's see how you like it," the Spanish nobleman shouts and attacks Vader.  In desperation, Vader uses the force to parry the attacks with chunks of stone from the walls.
Dooku ignites his saber, but is distracted by a peal of lightning which has come out of Connor's body.  He and Darth Maul leap aside with Sith instincts, and Duncan--newly revived--receives the entirety of Connor's quickening.  He leaps back into the fray against Darth Maul and smashes the lightsaber in half.  Darth Maul attacks with the good half, and soon the two are in another duel.  But this time, Duncan is MUCH the stronger swordsman.  Overwhelmed, Maul uses the force to push his opponent away, but Duncan kicks off a nearby wall and collides with even more force.  When the two come apart, Duncan's broadsword is stuck in Maul's chest, and Duncan has stolen Mauls' saber.  He turns to Dooku and beckons.  The two begin to duel, and Duncan is soon beating him silly.
Meanwhile, Vader is rapidly tiring of this game.  He uses the force to yank the saber out of Ramirez' hand and slashes his throat in one quick motion.  Ramirez' head falls away from his body, and before the quickening can hit, he turns to confront the highlander.  Duncan raises his lightsaber to attack, but Vader uses the force to pull a chunk of granite from behind Duncan to collide into the back of his
leg.  Duncan's leg is pinned down, and he kneels before the dark lord.
Vader calls Duncan's lightsaber to his hand and holds both sabers scissor style around Duncan's neck.  Under his mask, he grins at Dooku.  "Hey, Count, look familiar?" he quips, and then severs his head away from his body.

Winners: Sith Lords (6-1)
Highlanders (5-2)

Or if you like here's RJ's version.
Match 2a - RJ Harris
Sith Lords vs. Highlanders
Quarter Finals Bracket 3 - The Stone of Tear

RJ:  Well, somewhere down the road every team but one must loose and be out of the Rumble.  Here today, a favorite fell.  And since this match really didn't take long the great Sith Lord Vader knew how to fight these foes.  Yes, friends, Lucas WILL have a team in every quarterfinal match up..he now has a super shot to take it all.
Mark:  Well, how did it happen?
RJ:  Quite simple.  A well executed plan had the three Sith take out the three Highlanders all at the same time.  Vader had been practicing Force Lightning, so the Quickenings that took place after Duncan, Conner, and Ramirez were decapitated was..oh how did he put it...
Vader:  All to easy.
RJ:  A flawless victory advances the Sith Lords.

Match 3 - Brian Ailshie
Fantastic 4 vs. Sailor Scouts
Quarter Finals Bracket 3 - The Stone of Tear

John Madden: Welcome back Fight Fans, to the final match of Round 3 of Tournament 3!  We have a colossal fight today!  The Fantastic foursome of Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, and the Thing, take on the Sailing Scouts of the Moon, Mars, Mercury, and Tuxedo Mask.
Al Michaels: It's the Fantastic 4 vs the Sailor Scouts.
Madden: Isn't that what I said?
Michaels: Not really.  Anyway, here we go.
Johnny Storm: FLAME ON!!
Brian: Tuxedo Mask flicks a rose at the Torch.  He is unable to miss with those thrown weapons, but Johnny's flame incinerates the weapon as it hits him, so he's unharmed.  He burns down the Masked hero.
Carol: Sailor Mercury joins the fray and hits Johnny with the most deadly of her attacks.
Ash Ketchum: And fire Pokemon are weak against water Pokemon.
Mr. Obvious: That's because water puts out fires.
Brian: Johnny's flame disappears, and he hits the floor hard with a sickening pop.  I think he's out of this one.
Madden: And the Sailing Scouts have a fire attack of their own.  The raven haired one fires a blast of fire that burns a hole through Mr. Fantastic's rubber body.
Michaels: Sue Storm howls in rage and sends a shockwave of power at the Sailor Scouts.  Mars and Mercury are slammed hard against the wall and slump to the ground.
Naoko Takeuchi: Usagi's moon tiara saved her from the force wall of the Invisible Girl.  Waving her Moon Scepter she obliterates the foolish girl.
Stan Lee: However, while her attention was aimed at Sue, Ben Grimm got in reach.  He grabs the meatball haired girl and wrings her neck like a chicken farmer.
Thing: It's clobberin' time!
Madden: And there you have it folks.  A close finish, but the Fantastic foursome . . .
All: Fantastic Four!
Madden: Oh, sorry.
Michaels: The Four will square off with the Sith Lords in Round 4 next week!
Mr. Statistics: The Fantastic Four are the only remaining 'undefeated' team.  Go Team Marvel!

Winners: Fantastic 4 (7-0)
Sailor Scouts (4-3)
