VS.
Sentient Frequency Matter, or how the T-1G works.
The new villain cyborg in the upcoming T3 is supposedly a female Terminator
called the T-1G who is composed of "sentient frequency matter".
"Sentient
frequency matter?? What's that?", you may ask.
I think I've figured
out what this stuff is.
Matter is composed of atoms, wich are composed of
subatomic particles, wich are composed of energy, wich at it's essence is a
quantum fluctuation.
A vibration.
A frequency.
A sentient frequency
would probably be a brainwave or bio-rhythm.
So, if the quantum frquency of
this matter was tuned into a brainwave, maybe this matter at the quantum energy
level would be alive.
This living matter would indeed have more powerful morphing properties, as a
Terminator of this design could mentally control it's very atomic structure.
Heck, it might even be able to phase through walls, or any number of new
super powers.
It would also make it very invulnerable, because no matter how
much you physically abused it, it would still have intellegence down at the sub
atomic scale.
It takes increasing degrees of energy to break matter down at
the deeper and deeper subatomic levels, they'd have to run this thing through a
supercollider to hurt it.
So, maybe the only way to kill it is to kill
Skynet and make it vanish.
Or, maybe it can be depolarized with the
equivalent of a lightning bolt or something.
After all, the T-1000 was
brought down by it's molecular limitations.
Maybe T-1G's quantum effects are
too unstable to control, and it naturally begins to break down after
awhile.
If T-1000 was an advanced protoype, T-1G must have been rushed right
out of the lab.
If Skynet is desperatly sending it's most experimental
prototypes at John Conner the closer he gets to growing up, it's probably too
desperate to run tests.
There'll probably be some weakness.
We'll just
have to see won't we?
Anyhoo, this is what I think "Sentient frequency matter" is.
Now, what would we call it in layman's terms?
Arnold in T2 dummied
poly-alloy down to "liquid metal".
So, how to describe SFM in simpler terms
without having to give a quantum mechanics course every time?
"Living energy", suffices as much as anything I suppose.
But, wouldn't a being of living energy not be considered a Terminator, since
it's not even a robot anymore?
Well yes and no.
Consider this, if it's a
living energy that's dictated by a machine intellegence, then the barrier
between software and hardware would completly disappear, and this thing would be
a solid computer program!
So, when you really think about it, this is the
natural progression of evolution for machine intellegence isn't it?
Robots,
cyborgs, liquid nano-robots, solid CGI cyber-vixen.
This'll be a cool fight to see!
Hardware vs. software!
80's cyborg
versus millenium Virtual-girl.
Atari versus Playstaion 2!
What could be a
MORE fitting battle?
But if it's energy, how can it be considered a cyborg?
1.the mainstream
press are dummies, and they can't shake that word from their donky lips.
2.A
subatomic Terminator could atomize up some flesh.
Indeed, it would NEED TO
for time travel.
Heck, it could whip itself up a whole human body, organs
and all.
Instead of being part flesh, part machine, it'd be all flesh, but
integrated from a solidified software.
It could even integrate machine parts
if it needed to.
It could shift BETWEEN flesh and metal if it wanted.
So, it
could still technically qualify as a cyborg.
Although, since it would technically be a solid software image OF flesh and metal, I still prefer my materialized cyberspace definition.
But, if it's living energy forming a quantum image of flesh and metal, then it's BOTH, and it's a living energy cyborg, and the press's interperatation can apply.
OTOH, if it's an indistructible energy feild, why make metal?
So, we go back to it being a computer program.
*Update*
Arnold himself has spilled the beans on his future T-1G
adversary in an interview.
He has said she (the T-1G) can "mold into other
people, vanish, and turn into an energy".
This pretty much fits with what I
predicted!
