Okay, first there was the magazine Heavy Metal.
Then in 1981 there was the adult animated feature "Heavy Metal", based on the magazine.
Then, later on, a gentleman named Kevin Eastman emerged with a new comic book called "Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles".
Kevin Eastman, being a fan of the Heavy Metal magazine, made an homage to Heavy Metal in the form of a graphic novel titled "Melting Pot".
Later still, Kevin Eastman used his big ass pile of Ninja Turtles money to buy the Heavy Metal comapany.
He then ran a series of Ninja Turtles stories in Heavy Metal.
The next order of business was to re-release Heavy Metal the movie on video.
Somewhere along the way, he married B-movie actress/Penthouse pet Julie Strain.
Now, he's releasing a second Heavy Metal movie titled Heavy Metal 2000 based on Melting Pot, featuring the voice and likeness of Julie Strain as the heroine.
See, it all comes together. I think these sort of interconnections are neat.
Here, I charted it out on this graph.
