Darth Vader vs. Darth Maul

Duel of the fates.midi

The scenario-

Uhhh....Q...no....uhh the cosmic key...no.

Look, I'm just pissed that WWWF didn't have the combined braincells to slap this very obvious and fan anticipated match together! "Duuuhhh, who should we pair Maul with? Duuhh, I know, The HIGHLADER!". Yeah, brilliant stuff there fellas.  Oooh, Maul vs. Highlander! I've waited years with baited breath for THAT one!

Pssht.

Anyway, *magical gesture just causes the damn fight to happen*.

The analysis-

Pros.

Maul-Average force kinesis (can throw breadbox sized debris).

Kinesis blast (knocked Obi-wan for loop).

          Martial arts master.

Double bladed saber and the skill to wield it.

          Speed, agility, rapid reflexes.

          Kinesis aided leaps.

          Rage.

Stylin' (face tatoos and double bladed lightsabers will be all the rage with costume-play geeks for years to come).

Vader-Single bladed saber, relatively exceptional swordsman (more of a chessmaster than flashy and showey).

            Kinesis aided leaps.

Higher than average force kinesis (can throw around bigger debris, tear stuff off walls, strangle imperials over holo-phone across light year distances)

            Rage.

Strength augmented by prosthetics and afformentioned rage.

            He's the chosen one/ riddled with midi-chlorians.

            Midi-chlorians/the force am his papa.

            Awsome presence.

Cons.

Maul-Rage and arrogance tend to blind him to possible danger (I.E. getting overconfident with the inferior swordsman Obi-Wan, and not seeing the force leap/sword grab/waist chop coming).

Double bladed saber takes constant adjustment of fighting style (even for a master) to prevent cutting own self in half.

Not the brightest bulb in the box, more of an assasin than a fully rounded lord.

Vader-Prone to berserker rages (helps him kick Luke's green rookie ass, but not helpful against a trained swordsman).

Kinesis takes concentration being drawn from the fight (again, an arrogant expression of contept of Luke's fighting prowess, but notice he doesn't have to time to waste with this kind of show with old Obi-Wan).

Like Maul, rage and arrogance blind him to threats (Example, the Empire shoulder chop "You are BEATEN! Don't make me destroy you as I did Obi-Wan!". *SKKKT!!* "Arrgg!!".).

Burdened with crippling injuries, and bulky life support devices and armor wich limit his movements to slow striding gait and various downward chopping attacks.

Vote away!
