| 2002- Newsboys have always been a band for firsts, and 2002 was no exception! Newsboys celebrated the release of a new album, Thrive, by playing a concert at the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame! A concert that was telecast on Pax T.V. and then recorded and put on their first ever DVD with special features! |

| March 24, 2002- Newsboys released their tenth album, Thrive. Thrive proved to be their most musically diverse project to date. From rock songs like Givin' it Over, to the total pop sound of radio hit Million Pieces, this album has it all. Including a song that made christian music history, It Is You. It Is You stayed #1 on the charts for 12 weeks making it the logest running #1 radio hit to date! |

| To your left you will see a few shots from Newsboys music video Million Pieces, a very unique type video it's rather mind boggling to watch if you pay attention to the art details and just the whole style of the video...I could go on and on. And to your right- Newsboys recorded a very fun little song called Belly of the Whale for the Veggie Tales Movie, Jonah. It's a very cute, very Steve Taylor type song. And, for all of you who have the Jonah DVD if you watch the Belly of the Whale video....there's an extra music video right after! (love those bonus features!) |

| Later on, in July of 2002, Newsboys released another "album", Newsboys:Remixed. Which is a fun, novel album to have with some pretty neat to totally absurd remixes on it. Dedicated fans will find it a bit dissapointing that most of the remixes were previously released, it does, however, mean that you have all the remixes on one CD! |

| April 8, 2003- Newsboys release their first ever Worship album, Adoration. Adoration recieved mixed reviews, some said it was un- creative and didn't have enough original material. But, the fans had a diffrent spin on the album, trust me. The way I figure it, every other CCM artist has rippped off at least a few Passion worship tunes,So why can't newsboys borrow two? (I could rant for days...) Adoration is full of fantastic worship songs that were penned by what has to be CCM's greatest songwriting team, Peter Furler and Steve Taylor. Adoration is deffinitely one of Newsboys best projects to date! The album also brought about a very neat music video for radio hit He Reigns! The End.........for now, anyway. =-) I hope you have enjoyed this little feature, I have tried my hardest to keep it all accurate and spelled correctly...lol. Thanks! |
| And, on the home front- Newsboy Duncan Phillips became a father, on Father's Day of 2002, and, in keeping with Newsboy tradition (minus the solo deal) it was a girl, Taylor Holden Phillips! |

| And, in late 2002, Phil Joel released another solo album, Bring It On! Which was an amazing album! Lyricly, and musically this is a wonderful album. And, it is deffinitely not for the faint of heart. It recieved fairly high marks from reviewers and a fare amount of radio play with songs I Adore You, and The Man You Want Me to Be. |
