These 2 are the same album. FANNTASY was released earlier for the Singapore market while "LIVE ALONE" was the repackaging of the first for the Taiwanese market. They consist of some very soothing tunes like "Live Alone", "Right to Love" and the theme song for drama "Golden Pillow" (a collaboration with Jeff Chang) "Don't Make Love Difficult".
FANNTASY
I LIVE ALONE
Apparently this album is named after Fann's favorite hobby. Released in mid 1998 , its sales was ranked top 10 for more than 2 months upon release. Fann's popularity with the Taiwanese soars to new heights too, upon the release of her drama "The Legends of the Condor Heroes" whose theme and sub-theme songs are found in this album. This album was also the 10th best selling mandarin album of the year. Not hard to see why.. Fann's vocals improved alot since her last album . She earned her local fan's recognition too when she won the "Most Popular Local Singer" Award from FM93.3 Hits Awards. Fann had a close "tussle" with pop diva , Faye Wong, for the "Most Popular Female Artiste" award too.
SHOPPING
MISSING YOU (+ Private Number)
The much awaited album is released soon after her drama Out to Win ended. The album has yet climbed on any position in its sales record or radio charts, but there are definitely some good songs like "Luv3x" , "Missing You", "I'm Fine" and "Just Right" which can easily get into your head. Fann sounded much like Kelly Chen in some of her tracks when she pull her vocals to some higher tones.. On the overall, I think Fann improved on her singing skills comparing this album to her "Shopping" album.
A second release include the single of Fann's collaboration work with boy band 911 , "Private Number".
THE TRUTH ABOUT SAM AND JANE  (SOUNDTRACK)
This album was released a few days before the release of her solo album. The tracks found are all sung by Fann, and Fann even croons several Cantonese tracks in this album. One of the song "Just Love - There is No Why" also made hit on several radio pop-chart. Together with this album there are also several fully coloured movie-stills postcards.... but any Fann fan will most probably keep them instead of letting it be stamped by the post-office.
NO PROBLEM
The main hits in this album include "No Problem" and "Really Wish" as well as other songs that 'suited' for Fann's vocal range. The album's songs are very pleasant to listen to though, and it matched Fann's saccharine image. This album has a good mix of faster paced lively tracks as well as emotion filled love ballads, which leads me into thinking maybe Fann recalled her not-that-good experience with her ex-beau when handling those ballads. In anyway, Fann still has room for improvements, and it shall keep us all anticipating.
