Minamino Shuuichi Age: 15 Gender: Male Eye Color: Emerald Green Hair Color: Red Social Status: Student and Rei kai Tantei Strength Level: Class B to Class A Seiyuu: Megumi Ogata Minamino Shuuichi is actually the legendary thief of Makai, Youko Kurama. He was shot and injured, so he fled to the Ningenkai, where his spirit possesed a fetus of a human body. He is given birth and named Shuuichi. Originally, his plan was to retreat back to Makai after 10 years, which is when he will be fully healed. But after 15 years, Kurama still hasn't gone back. That is because his mother, Shiori, showed him kindness and love. When Shuuichi was still a little child, he stood on a chair and lost his balance. Shiori spotted a bunch of glass on the floor. She caught his head from hitting the glass, but in return, her arm was scraped with the sharp glass. Her scars still remain. Kurama and Hiei first met each other in a manga chapter: Two Shots. A girl in his class, Maya, had a crush on him. She had the ability to see spirits. Maya saw a youkai talking to Kurama when she was spying on him on his way home, and ask him what it was. But he told her that she was imagining things. Kurama sensed some sort of youki, and it turned out to be Hiei's. Kurama pulled out some plants, which became a sword-like weapon, and fought against Hiei. He told Maya to run, but she was too confused and afraid of what she just saw happened. That's when a minion of Yatsude, a man-eating youkai, kidnapped her.

While Hiei and Kurama were still fighting, Hiei realized Kurama wasn't working with Yatsude, and ceased the fight, but he was wounded by Kurama and was brought to Kurama's house and healed. When Hiei woke up, Kurama asked him who Yukina was, because he was mumbling in he sleep. He told him to mind his own business and was about to leave, but Kurama asked him for his name. Surprisingly enough, Hiei gave it to him, and left in search of Yatsude. After Hiei left, Kurama got a phone call from one of his classmates telling him Maya hasn't come home yet, so he decided to follow Hiei. When they reached Yatsude's hideout, Kurama asked him where Maya was. They fought him and eventually sliced him into three. As a reward, he gave Maya back. Kurama erased Maya's memory, including her feelings for him. Hiei asked Kurama what his name was and said he will try to remember it. Kurama told him. A year later, Kurama teamed up with Hiei to steal the three artifacts of Reikai. Kurama stole the Mirror of Utter Dark so that he can save his mother's life. She was very ill at that time. Even though he knew that in order for his wish to be granted, he would die, but that didn't stop him from from what he did. Yuusuke also decided to help Kurama(even though I don't know why, but it was for his mom). Kurama and Yuusuke lived. Shiori was feeling better. Later on, when Hiei was fighting Yuusuke, he was to going kill him when suddenley, Kurama stepped in and was stabbed instead. Kurama wanted to thank Yuusuke for helping him save his mother. After the artifacts were returned, Hiei and Kurama became part of the Reikai Tantei in punishment for stealing. Youko Kurama Age: Approximately 200 Gender: Male Eye Color: Golden Brown Hair Color: Silver-White Social Status: Former Makai Thief Strength Level: Class A Seiyuu: Nakahara Shigeru Youko Kurama first made his appearing in the Ankoku Bujutsukai(Dark Tournament) while fighting Uraurashima, a member of Team Uraotogi. Uraurashima used a box called the Idunn Box which can make his oppenent change young. He used it on Kurama, but instead of changing in an infant, he became Youko Kurama. Youko Kurama had a partner named Kuronue. One day, they were escaping after stealing a mirror, when Kuronue's necklace broke and fell. His necklace was very important to him. Kuronue went back to retrieve it, unaware of the sharp baboos which killed him. His final words to Kurama were "Save yourself, Kurama! Forget about me!" Kurama had know choice but to leave Kuronue. Kurama's Techniques Rose Whip: Kurama's trademark weapon. He pulls a rose out of his hair, and with some ki, it forms into a whip. Kagon Retsuzan Shi (Beautiful-cutting-branch): This technique has the ability to slice an opponent into many pieces. Kurama uses this on Genbu, one of the Saint Beasts. Shimaneki Sou: Kurama plants a seed inside his opponent. All he has to say is "Shi-ne"(die) and it will bloom, killing the opponent. Juryou Youzanken: When Kurama fought against Touya, he used a Makai plant which can turn into a sword. Fuuka En Bu Jin (Crane Petal Dance?): This attack is like a storm of razor-sharp petals. Kurama uses this on Karasu, even though it had little effect on him. Kyuuketsu Shokubutsu (Blood-sucking Plant): The technique used to kill Karasu. It aimed for the heart and started sucking the blood. Janen Ju (Hallucenation Tree): The hallucenation tree gives its opponents hallucenations(duh). It was used when Kurama fought Toguro Ani(Elder Toguro) in the Sensui arc. Some techniques that only Youko Kurama seem to be able to use: Shokuyou Butsu (The Death Tree?): When Kurama turned Youko, he threatened Uraurashima with this. It's like a red plant wrapped around Youko's arm and its saliva was acid. Maojigi Sou: Another technique Kurama used against Karasu. It's like a bunch of plants with teeth that pick a target to eat. Fuyouka Shokubutsu: Not exactly a technique, more like a tool. It's a plant used for flying and it some what looks like a moth.
