Usually, she scolds Yuusuke for cutting class or slap him for groping and other perverted things. It was Keiko who brought Yuusuke back to life. It was her who took care of his body when he was dead. If it weren't for Keiko, who knows, there might have been no Yu Yu Hakusho. During the first few episodes, it's clear that Keiko has strong feelings for Yuusuke. She rejected one of her classmate's love offering(okay, that sounds funny), and was about to kiss him once. If Keiko finds out that Yuusuke is hiding something from her, she will get the truth out of him. She often worries about Yuusuke, like when he was fighting in the Ankoku Bujutsukai(Dark Tournament). When Yuusuke defeated Toguro, she was practically in a trance and mumbled some things. Yuusuke slapped her around many times until she snapped out of it, and was, of course, beaten to death. A few episodes before the series ended, Yuusuke told Keiko that he wouldn't be back in 3 years. She sarcistically, but coldly, replied to him that once he returns, he will be finding her with her new boyfriend. They went back to her house/Ramen shop. That's when Yuusuke proposed to her(infront of Keiko's dad too!). She made it look like it was no big deal, but deep down inside, she must have been excited and shocked. |
