Age: 60-70 Gender: Female Eye Color: Amberish Brown Hair Color: Light Pink(much brighter when she was young) Social Status: Class A(?) fighter and Yuusuke's master/teacher Seiyuu: Kyouda Hisako, Hayashibara Megumi(young) Genkai is Yuusuke's master. Her first appearance was when Yuusuke was supposed to go compete in her tournament, when she needed to pick an apprentice. Genkai can be a little rough when training Yuusuke, but that's for his own benefit. Even though Yuusuke doesn't get along with Genkai's training methods and calls her an old hag, he cares a lot about Genkai. He was furious when he saw Toguro kill Genkai with his own eyes.

50 years ago, Genkai also entered the Ankoku Bujutsukai only because her partner, Toguro Otouto(younger Toguro), wanted to. He said that he feared age and when he grew older, his body would be worthless and would lose all his strength(kind of like he sold his soul to the devil). So they fought in the tournament as a team, and won. The winning team were granted a wish. Toguro wished that he can have absolute strength and that his body would never age. Genkai opposed to his wish(she always had), and decided to leave Toguro to train alone. Genkai was later on invited to the Ankoku Bujutsukai again by Toguro. She went with Yuusuke with a piece of cloth wrapped around her head and was named "the masked fighter". Her identity was later on revealed while the team was fighting the Dr. Ichigaki team. She was in her younger form, even though no one knew she had the ability to do that until later on. Before fighting team Uraotogi, Genkai asked Yuusuke if he thought that he can defeat Toguro. She gave him the spirit wave orb, which gave her the ability to turn younger and was most of her power. It was unbearably painful for Yuusuke to control. Genkai thought it was too much power for Yuusuke so she took it back. But knowing that Yuusuke can be stubborn, he took it back from Genkai and he goes crazy(not saying he's crazy, it's the pain) again. After Yuusuke learned to control the power, Genkai was off to face Toguro. Genkai knew that she could not possibly defeat Toguro, since most of her power was given to Yuusuke. Before Genkai died, she told Yuusuke about her past and told Yuusuke not to make the same mistake Toguro did. Yuusuke swore will avenge Genkai's death. Toguro was defeated, and died. Since Yuusuke won the tournament, Genkai was brought back to life. Later on Genkai left her temple to Yuusuke and the other and died a peaceful death. Genkai's Techniques Reikou Hadou(Spirit Light Wave): The technique gives Genkai the ability to change into her younger form and the power to do other strong attacks. Rei Gan(Spirit Gun): Similar to Yuusuke's Rei Gan except her's is stronger, I think. SHOTTO GAN(Shot Gun): The attack she teaches Yuusuke. Kuwabara thought Yuusuke was the one to teach her the attack before he knew that the masked fighter was Genkai. Reikou Kyou Han Sho(Spirit Light Reflection Blast): I think that's what the name of the attack is. I couldn't really read the letters on a picture of her doing the attack. The technique absorbs the opponent's energy and blasts it back at them. She uses that on Shishiwakamaru.
