Her job is to bring the souls of the dead humans back to Reikai. She's often happy-go-lucky but she can be serious too. Botan if very loyal to Koenma, and she will mercilessly hit you with her oar if you tease him about his baby form. Botan's first appearence was when Yuusuke died. When Yuusuke came back to life, Botan was with her in school, and Keiko mistakened him for having some kind of relationship with her. Later on, Botan and Keiko became friends(actually, they were never enemies), along with Yukina and Shizuru. Kuwabara had a crush on her at first, and even asked her to marry him, but he fell for someone else. Botan calls him Kuwa-chan.
