The Three Pillars of Gehenna
Excerpt from Game Trade Magazine article, November issue
dd 18 November 2003

The latest issue of Game Trade Magazine has an article on the Gehenna sourcebook, as well as a preview of its cover art (see below).

The article discusses The End Times and mentions the following three pillars (or reasons) for Gehenna to start:

1) The Blood weakens - Vampires get weaker and weaker until, as a small story explains, even members of the 4th generation can eat and drink normal foods.

2) Rampant Diablerie - In order to fight off the weakening of the blood, Vampires start to feed from eachother to temporary keep up their normal power levels. The Camarilla starts to fall apart when the elders who so forbid Diablerie have to indulge in it in order to keep their edge. The Sabbat, who never actually forbade Diablerie find themselves in even worse shape with Diablerie rising to insane levels.

3) Widespread Mistrust - Politics grind to a halt as staying alive suddenly becomes more important then being the talk of Elysium. Coteries and Packs become the only way to survive. Small groups of Cainites hold to their ideals or try to ignore the impending death and destruction. Some realize that their time has come and squander the last of their resources on opulent parties to celebrate the end.

The article also gives a brief mention of the various prophecies of Gehenna and how each is commonly interpreted and how those interpretations may be wrong...

In January, Gehenna will be revealed...
