Control Issues – a Mulder/Skinner NC-17 rated

X-Files fan fic.

In case you missed it, this fic is rated NC-17. Themes include BDSM, sub/dom relationships, physical and emotional abuse and recovery from it. Don't read any further if you are likely to be offended by a fic centered on these themes.

Without the truth as to the origin of Mulder’s injuries, Skinner believes Mulder is in a sub/domme relationship with an abusive female partner.

Repeated attempts to help him fail and Skinner is left with the realisation that Mulder’s life is in danger if he remains in the relationship.

He befriends the younger agent, eventually learning the truth.

With help from Katherine, who owns the club Mulder and his Dom belong to, Skinner frees Mulder from Rob’s influence.

Without the stability and routine of the relationship, Mulder’s work begins to suffer.

Again, Skinner is a reluctant shoulder for Mulder to cry on.

Mulder tries to persuade Skinner to take Rob’s place. Convinced it would be wrong to have that kind of power over Mulder, Skinner resists.

However, as Mulder’s behaviour becomes ever more noticed by his colleagues and superiors, Skinner makes a decision which will alter both their lives. Forever.
