This was the most beautiful and heartfelt story I have ever read. It made me cry, and I got goosebumps, and I also really wanted a hug after reading it. I love it! It's so touching. You did an amazing job conveying the deep love that Suzaku has for his seishi. I'm very moved. Thank you for writing this piece of art.

all i can say is wow. that was just brilliant! you made suzaku sound like... well like suzaku and not just some god who looks down on his people and watches as thier lives move forward but as a god who cares deeply for them and feels every emotion they do. i especially liked the characterizations you put on each seishi they fit so well. keep writing and keep up the good work.

That was amazing. Just...yep absolulty amazing. The song fit so well and the relationship you describe fits the whole Suzaku family perfectly. Might I suggestdoing one about Seiryuu now? Just a thought.

Note: The first 3 drafts of this thing didn't come out any more coherent than then this one. I just couldn't find the right words to describe how your story made me feel...!

...That was really pretty, mmkay? u_u

I did rather get that impression that that's how Suzaku thought of his people. The Suzaku Seishi were definately different from the Seiryuu, and this was a good explanation. It fit incredibly well with the song, but it wasn't forced at all. Incredibly poignant in some places, it was also very passionate. The people in this story loved each other unquestioningly; as you said, a nameless emotion so much more than love.

*weeps, and grabs box of tissues* This is fantastic! I've never heard this song, but I'm going to run and find it immediately. This is going to make me pay a little more attention next time i watch the series...more attention to how things would make their god feel. Wonderful! ^_^

Heeeeeey, Kryssa!!!

I actually read this yesterday, but ff.net was being dumb and wouldn't let me review. Now... **clears throat**

Aaaaah!! It's soooooo sweeeeeeeet! I love that song... but now I love it even more.. the words, the music... it just all fits perfectly. You have an amazing knack for diving into the minds of the characters and dragging out their inner-most feelings. Simply beautiful!

Quite an interesting take on this, Kryssa-chan. (By the way, thanks for clueing me in to Roku's birthday!) Aenagawen did one of these for Seiryuu awhile back - a songfic from the god's perspective about his children, I mean - and I feel like you two have unknowingly created an interesting comparison. It's something people don't typically think much of when they watch the show - "they" are "up there" and they don't have much to do. I think a lot of people also think that the gods are in a way tools of the seishi, and nothing more. If you can convince people that's not the truth, then I heartily congradulate you.

(Good lord, the little bugger's got review instructions... Lord help us all...)

Well, as per instructions, I'm gonna try to leave some CC here... But it's so good that I can't think of anything! Maybe... Hmm. The only possible thing I can think of is that it might be a bit repetitious in some places, but heck, even I'm not sure. Talk to ya later, OK? Luck and love and a similar rain of cherry candies on -you-! ^_^

Second day in a row - and you made me cry again!! I just have to say in public what a wondrous birthday gift this is - it has touched me so much that I can barely speak!

As I said before, you have a startling insight into what it means to be a parent. I think that perhaps this is the best depiction I've seen yet of the "God of Love" - and with such vast compassion and heart in the celestial being, it's no wonder that his warriors turned out to be such extraordinary human beings!

I'm also so touched that you referenced "White Stones" for this extraordinary story - I am beyond flattered that my story could spark off such an accomplished work of art. But I also feel that you have done the definitive job in defending Suzaku's actions at the end of the fic - much better than I was able to. As I have said many times - it's eerie how we're always on the same wavelength... eerie, yet wonderful!

I also failed to remark before on how perfectly the words to this song fit your story - and vice-versa! I happen to love song-fics, but they are not an easy art-form to pull off. Sometimes they can be cloyingly sentimental or just plain non-referential to the accompanying story. But you have excelled as usual, and created what is now in my mind the best song-fic I have ever read! By the way - you have just earned JoDee Messina another fan - I'm going out to buy this CD today!!

Once again, thank you for this extraordinary gift, Kris - Domo arigatou goziemasu!!!

Love, Roku-chan

I first noticed this fic this morning, just before I left for class. I was going to read it then, but held off, because I wanted to wait until I'd downloaded the song before reading. I'd never heard it before, and I've often found that listening to the songs of songfics while reading them greatly enhances the experience.

...and let me just say, reading these words and listening to that song, it made me cry. Granted, I'm a big sucker for parent-child (or god-child, I suppose) love, because it seems somehow so much purer than the kind of love you find in other relationships. But anyway, I think that this is a beautiful, beautiful written representation of the love Suzaku feels for his children and his seishi, and if I wasn't so busy blowing my nose right now, I'd say a lot more. ^_^. *glomp*

I can picture that very well.
I really liked it, I really did.
Perfect song for it. ^-^
And I feel Suzaku would be like that.
