Summer,
This year has been amazing for me. I had things that I never had before. I gained a friend, two girlfriends, and a love. It all started with Ryan because before him I had nothing. Now he left and I can't do anything to help him. I'm scared that he is taking all the good stuff I gained this year with him, including our love. So instead of him taking it away, I'm taking it. I'm leaving before everything can leave me. Before you wake up and realize that this isn't what you wanted and go back to the life you had before me. I need to go to keep this year in my heart and keep it special before things go back. I love you Summer. I always have and I always will.

Summer wiped the tears that were coming down her face. She had gone to see Seth, to be with him after Ryan left, but she didn't find him. Instead she found this note. How could he think that she would leave him? He thought this whole year was a waste. That she was a waste. If he loved her he wouldn't leave. She got up and as she walked out the door she managed to say between tears, "I hate you Cohen."
