Timeline : *forgot* It was the episode
when Heero and Quatre ended up in Sanc Kingdom and became students there.
SHE
I didn’t know why she fascinated me so. She’s not too beautiful like the other girls in school, but there’s something about her that kept me attached to her. She sat in front of me in every class we shared, and it made me even more attracted to her.
“Her name is Alice Frankfurt,” Relena told me when
I asked for her name. There’s a little
hint of jealousy in her eyes, but she really shouldn’t have to be, because I
wasn’t attracted to the girl *that* way, I mean, the way which she probably
thought I *was* on.
One day I met her at the library. We barely knew each other so there wasn’t
any word exchanged between us as our gazes met. She took a seat in front of me and it made me my concentration
running low *again*.
I tried to avoid her the days after, and it was
driving me nuts. But I had to,
right? Or else I could never focus on
my mission.
“Heero, are you okay?” Relena asked me one day when
we shared a table for lunch together with Quatre.
“Hn.” I
answered. The standard answer to shut
her up.
“Are you sure, Heero? You look so weird lately.” Quatre added.
“I’m okay.” But I knew I wasn’t.
Then came the day when I looked over the
window. A car came to pick her up.
She’s going to leave!
“Where’s she goin’?” I asked Relena who was sitting
beside me on the window seat.
Relena looked at the scene outside and answered, “Alice
is going back to her country. She’s
going to be engaged.”
“Oh.” was my only reply. I kept looking below.
This would be the last time I’d ever seen her, I thought, so why keep
myself from *not* looking at the beautiful scene?
And finally she entered the car that took her away.
“Why is she so special for you?” Relena asked
suddenly, her eyes not on mine but I knew she wasn’t pleased about what I’d
been doing.
“She’s not.”
“Yes she is.” She replied. “I mean, there’s lot of girls who’s prettier
than she is – why – her?”
I didn’t answer the question.
Relena sighed.
“Well, she is kinda sweet,” She finally said. “Especially
because she has that long beautiful braid on her head.”
I smiled, still looking outside the window.
“Aaa... the braid.’
