What could be more fun than Spring Break?
Sakura and Li (now in high school) decide to spend their Spring
Vacation in England. Eriol invites them, as well as Mei-lin and Tomoyo, to stay
with him on their break. Everything seems to be going well, and everyone's
having a good time.
Then Eriol mysteriously disappears.
A book, known as the Grimorum Arcamornem, has been taken from its resting place in Avalon. The book of spells, once sealed by Merlin with the help of Clow Reed, was never intended to be opened by a mortal. But now a mortal has opened the book, unleashing an unspeakable magic upon the unsuspecting world. It begins swallowing all sorts of magic, including the Clow Cards -- which begin to mysteriously disappear one by one.
Enter the great-granddaughters of the magician, Merlin - Emphera, Daphne and Soleice. As muses, they've spent their entire existence (200 some odd years) on Avalon. Now entering the mortal world for the first time, they are in search of the book, but only manage to find the cardcaptors. Joining forces is the only way to stop magic from disappearing into nothingness. But can it be stopped before everything in the world disappears?
