Numero Uno: Absolutly, positvly, NO COPYING!!! No one likes a copycat. Do not steal other's work and give yourself credit. Now, it's ok to use a line or two, or an idea from a published book, but not from anyone else's fanfic unless you ask them permission. I mean it!
Numero Dos: Let's try to keep this PG - 13, ok folks? I would just go off and say swear all you like and do whatever you want, but I know from past experience that parents can be a suspicious thing, so I'll say it right now: Do not worry, as long as your child can see PG - 13 movies, than you're all set. Also, on that note, if you must swear, let's just say one F bomb per story, and if you have to use it more than that, do #$%# or something.
Numero Tres: In turn to this rule, you can write fanfics about R rated movies, as long as your FANFIC is PG - 13.
Numero Quatro: No being mean. Seriously, folks. Can we be nice little boys a girls, please? For Vikki's sake?
Numero Cinco: When you send me a fanfic, be sure to also send ALL of the following information:
Your name (Don't worry, you don't need to put your entire name. You could even just put a pen name. We just don't wanna call you annonmous, mostly because I don't know how to spell it.)
The Name of your Fanfic (please don't put LOTR Fanfiction or something. Be creative.)
Whether you will be sending it to me all at once or in Chapters or Parts.
What genre you think your fanfic fits into. (You know, mystery, romance, fantasy, sci - fi, that sort of thing.)
Whether I can post your e-mail address.
Your AIM screen name (if you have one), with permission that I can IM you.
And if you can play the bassoon. No, seriously. That way, I know you've read the rules.
And that is it, everyone. See, they're not that hard. Let's play nice.
