1. What got you started writing? I started writing in junior high, and ironically enough, it was fanfiction... Star Wars fanfiction. I simply needed to continue the lives of Han, Leia and Luke even after 'Return of the Jedi.' After I became a fan of the X-Files, tons of stories popped into my head, but it wasn't until I finally got a computer (given to me by my brother) and found my way on-line and to the X-Files sites that I was actually able to write down my stories and share them with others. 2. What type of story do you like writing most? Romance. I am a die-hard shipper. But I need to have a story with the romance, preferable an adventurous story. 3. What type of story would be hard for you to write? Anything that allowed our two heroes to hate or hurt each other... without a happy ending. Granted, I love angst, but it has to end happily. 4. Do you/have you use(d) a beta? If so, why? I have, but infrequently. The best beta offers moral support and fixes your writing mistakes. Story suggestions are okay as well, but I find that once I start writing, I already have a set story in my head, and any suggestions are either too late or will mean changing more than one part of the story. I find I don't take criticism very well, but I am getting better, and I think that's an important thing to accept. 5. Is reader feedback important? Feedback is not only important, it is absolutely necessary and the reason I wrote (and may yet write) fanfiction in the first place. Whether it's encouragement that you're doing well, surprise at how the story is progressing, or even just a nod by a reader that they are reading and enjoying it, feedback is awesome. 6. Tell us something (unique?) about yourself. Animals are my life, as many of my readers can often times tell by my stories. I not only work at a vet clinic, but I have three cats, a dog, and a horse of my own. From the time I could talk, I wanted a horse, but being a city kid, that meant impossible expenses. Even after I found a job I could finally stick with, I didn't think I could ever afford it. September 11 changed my point of view, as I'm sure it did many others around the world. It was shortly after the tragedy that I took a gamble and bought my first horse. Since then, I have been living from paycheck to paycheck, rarely have free time (especially to write), come home dirty and exhausted most ever night... and have never been happier. The only thing that would make it better was if Mulder were waiting for me with supper and a hot bath!
