“Oh
man. I’m slowly getting embarrassed because you will laugh at me anyway so…I
don’t know…” said Nick blushing.
“Oh,
you’ve been bad, haven’t you?” said AJ smirking.
“See
what I mean? You don’t take me seriously!” said Nick.
“I
do! But you know that I can’t talk like a normal person! That doesn’t mean
that I don’t understand your problems and don’t want to help you!” said AJ
loudly.
“It’s
okay…no need to scream…” whispered Nick.
“Then
tell me!” said AJ and crossed his arms in front of his chest.
“Okay…well…we
were here…under this tree…talking about what we thought about each other
when we saw each other first. She told me. Then she wanted me to tell her. I
told her that I couldn’t. She said she’d do anything if I told her. I asked
anything? She said yes. And I said: then kiss me. So we were kissing you know…then
I started going further, meaning: I went with my hands under her shirt and
started stroking her belly. She jumped at that, so I stopped. Then she asked me
why I did so. I didn’t say that I felt her being shocked because I thought I
would maybe pressure her to do more than kissing with me. So I said that I
stopped because I wanted to tell her what I thought of her when I first saw her.
I told her. Then I asked if she wanted to go back to the hotel and she said yes.
Then she asked if we would continue what we did earlier. I said: continue, what?
She then kissed me and started rubbing my back and said: That! I got shocked and
stuttered. Then I said: so…let’s go! She suddenly started asking me why I
was always avoiding THE subject. I had no answer so she ran away. I called after
her but she didn’t turn around. That’s how I ended up deciding to sleep here.”
Nick told.
AJ
was speechless. How could somebody have so many problems where no real problem
was?
“AJ?”
asked Nick, “why are you so quiet?”
“Because.”
Answered AJ, still not knowing what to say.
“Because
of what?” asked Nick, “you’re not helping when you’re giving me answers
like that.” Said Nick.
“Okay…I’m
going to tell you now what I really think.” Said AJ, “I think that you two
are really stupid. Is it that difficult to talk to each other about sex? If you
would just talk about! Man. You have weird problems, which aren’t problems in
reality! You should tell her how you think about sex and she’ll tell you how
she thinks. Then you can’t misunderstand each other anymore.” Said AJ, being
serious.
“Yeah
you’re probably right.” Said Nick sighing.
“I
know I’m right!” said AJ grinning, “now…would you please come back with
me to the hotel? I’m getting cold.”
Nick
nodded his head ‘yes’. A satisfied grin spread over AJ’s face. He stood
up, took Nick’s hand and made him stand up.
“I
hope you know the way out of this maze…” said AJ, looking around, “because
I’m not sure if I know it…”
“I
think I know it but I’m not sure either.” Said Nick.
They
walked to the exit of the park. AJ recognized the scary dark streets so he told
Nick to go that way. But…somehow the got lost.
“Shit!
What are we going to do now?” asked AJ.
“I
don’t know! We somehow got to find the way back to the hotel!” said Nick,
jumping at a noise that came out of some corner.
“Oh,
I know what to do! We just call a cab!” said AJ, almost screaming.
“Yeah…shhhh…that’s
the best idea you ever had!” said Nick while AJ put out his cell phone and
called the taxi service. After 10 minutes they finally saw a cab. They told the
driver to bring them back to the hotel and so he did.
Back
at the hotel they felt like they couldn’t be happier. They went quietly to
their hotel rooms. Thank god, the others didn’t hear them.
In
his room Nick stripped off his clothes and lay down in the bed to sleep. But he
couldn’t. Something was bothering him and he knew exactly what it was. He had
to talk to Nera. Now. He wouldn’t be able to sleep if he didn’t. So he stood
up, threw on a shirt and walked quietly over to Nera’s hotel room. He knocked…no
response. He turned around and wanted to go back to his room because he thought
that Nera was already asleep. Just then the door was opened.
“Can
we talk?” asked Nick, pleading her with his eyes.
“Yeah…sure…what
time is it?” asked Nera.
“I
don’t know…does it matter?” asked Nick.
“No,
I don’t think so…come in.” responded Nera and led Nick in. she sat on her
bed and Nick took a chair and sat in front of her, looking her in the eyes. Then
he started to talk: “I think we should talk about ‘that subject’…sex is
what you mean, don’t you?” asked Nick. Nera was a little bit irritated
because Nick was suddenly so comfortable with talking about sex. He didn’t
even blush.
“Yeah…that’s
what I mean. You know, always when we were kissing and it was going a little bit
further you suddenly stopped and I want to know why.” Said Nera.
“It’s
because I didn’t know how to act towards you. I mean I’ve known you for so
long, still I don’t know how you really think about sex. We never really
talked about it. I thought I was getting signals from you saying that you
weren’t ready for example tonight under that tree. When I stroke your belly
you kind of jumped at that. So I thought I’d better stop. You know, I’m just
so unsure because I don’t want to push you into something you don’t want
to.” Said Nick, telling her all that was on his mind. Nera sighed happily.
“Oh
Nick. That’s the reason! I thought you didn’t find me sexy enough or
something like that!” said Nera. Nick looked at her like he didn’t believe
what she was saying.
