Chapter Eleven
“Helloooo?! Anybody in?!”
Louisa jumped as she heard her brother Kieran waltz into her new kitchen.
“There you are!” he exclaimed.
“Here I am!” she replied, pulling him into a tight hug. “What are you
doing here?”
He wiggled his eyebrows. “Just thought I’d drop in and see if my favourite
sister needed any help!”
“I am your ONLY sister, Kieran!” she giggled.
“Yeah I know that! Anyway, where are Dylan and Maddy?” he asked, looking
around the kitchen.
“Dyl’s upstairs asleep and Maddy’s out in the garden.”
“Oh. Oh – fabulous,” he said, peering out of the kitchen window and into
the garden. He caught sight of both Madison and a group of five guys sitting
together on the other side of the fence. Kieran looked back to Louisa, grinning
devilishly.
“Can I move in with you?!” he asked eagerly.
Louisa looked up. “Why…?” And then she realised. Louisa grinned and looked
out of the kitchen window herself, spotting the same group of guys in next
door’s garden. It looked like one of them had a kid about Madison’s age –
she was conversing with a little boy through the fence. Her eyes twinkled.
“Not really your type, bruv,” she giggled, indicating the five men.
He tutted. “Well I can at least take a closer look can’t I?” (Yes –
Kieran is gay!)
Louisa nodded. “Sure. Why not?! But I don’t think they’re gay though…”
she lied, not voicing her previous suspicions. I mean, how normal was it for
five blokes to congregate like that in one house?
Kieran winked and, without responding, tottered outside…
