THE NATURAL BEAUTY

No hairy armpits here boys, this is only a stratocaster!

Early '70 strats are great guitars. Their feel is very much like high priced small head sixties or four screws '68. And sometimes people will send them at the same price than ugly-heavy '79ers. So run and search for these last bargains left on the market.

I could be all wrong but this can be one of the first natural strat imported in France.

I cannot be sure, as I found some whitish paint inside the neck screw pockets. But close inspection of the rest of the guitar indicates an original natural finish. The pickguard is of course non-original but it is a very strange black aluminium that seems to be as old as the guitar. The back vibrato cover is made out of the same lasergun material. So I keep it .

The neck indicates january 1972 which is the first year of availablity of the optional natural finish. Only the volume button is original.
