Who I Am, and Why the Hell I Think My Opinion Means a Damn

I am Alec Manuel Caldas. The fact that I also happen to be a soldier in the U.S. Army, a third year college student on pause, and owner of the largest, legal, hardcopy collection of anime in the Ft. Bragg/ Fayettville, NC area is inconsiquential. The fact that I've experinced many things that few would never dream of is trivial. The fact that I've read and absorbed more stories and books than the above average person, ranging from the 'classics' like The Great Gatsby and The Cat in the Hat, to 'lite' reads like Rainbow Six and nearly every Star Wars book published, is just fluff. I love being told a story. If someone has a story to tell, I will listen, regardless of how inane, regardless of the medium. This is what, I believe, makes me worthy of saying that which I say. If you cannot listen, then what you say is meaningless, and everyone who knows me will tell you, I listen.
So even if I happen to say that a particular anime is lacking, it may still be worth your time to check it out and listen to its story. If you as a conisour in training simply experiences the only the anime that I have positive things to talk about, then you will be lacking. For without experiencing the bad, how will you recognise the genius? Take these reviews as desired.
