Akasha - played by Aaliyah
Lestat became a rock star, his music woke Akasha again and this time Akasha decided to act out a plan she'd been planning for thousands of years. She killed Enkil (father of all vampires) by draining him of all of his blood. This made her twice as powerful and she set out to seek Lestat.

Her plan of action was to rule the world with Lestat and rid the world of the majority of vampires (save for the ones that Lestat knew). Her logic told her that a new peaceful world would only be possible if 95% per cent of human males were culled and women were the majority race.

Lestat - played by Stuart Townsend

It was rock music which woke Lestat in the 1980s. The music from 'Satan's Night Out' envigorated him and helped him rise. Lestat approached the band and offered himself as their frontman.

He woke Akasha from her trance-like sleep with his music and story-telling lyrics. Akasha wanted to rule earth with Lestat. Akasha's vision was to rule the world and destroy most of the male population leaving women to be the peaceful majority.

Lestat was torn between complete adoration for her and her powerful blood and fear of her terrifying plan for world domination.

Jesse - played by Marguerite Moreau

Jesse was the one of the many descendants of her Aunt Maharet's Great Family.

David Talbot assigned her to study the books 'Interview With The Vampire' and 'The Vampire Lestat' because they were not fiction. He told her that the rock star, Lestat was the vampire from the book. He sent her to New Orleans to visit the novel's locations.

She went to Lestat's concert. Lestat noticed her and embraced her. An angry vampire grabbed her and threw her forcefully against a wall, giving her severe head wounds. Maharet appeared and gave her blood, saving her and making her a vampire.

Marius - played by Vincent Perez

After Lestat awoke Akasha and Enkil, Marius had no choice but to send him away.

In the 20th Century, Marius returned home to his icy sanctuary only to find the remains of Enkil (father of all vampires)l, transparent and lifeless with all his blood drained from the neck. He smashed to the ground shattering like glass when Marius reached out to him. Akasha then appeared, awakened by Lestat's music and strengthened by Enkil's blood. She abandoned Marius destroying the building and leaving him trapped and injured. Once Marius was rescued by his beloved Pandora and Santino, Marius was returned to Maharet's house, where he was also reunited with Armand and Lestat.

David Talbot - played by Paul McGann

It was David Talbot who assigned Jesse to research the book, 'Interview With The Vampire' and after informing her that the book wasn't fiction, he sent her to New Orleans, where the story is based. He has paintings and photographs of all the ancient vampires in the Talamasca vaults.

He was confronted by Lestat at the end of 'Queen of the Damned' and they form a firm understanding and friendship.

Maharet - played by Lena Olin

Akasha told the vampires in Maharet's house of her plan to rule the world with Lestat as her prince, to have them as her angels and to create world peace by slaughtering 95% of earth's male population. Of course, everyone found this idea ludicrous and pleaded with her to reconsider or wait. Then, the First Brood heard distinct footfalls coming nearer (Mekare, Maharet's twin sister). Mekare merely pushed Akasha aside when her sister tried to grab her. Mekare and Maharet removed Akasha's heart and brain and Mekare ate both, consuming the spirit of Amel. Mekare was the new 'Queen of the Damned'.
