My tribute to the Newsies
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Academy/4980/newsies.html
Ariela Lamonte's Review: Ah, don't we
all love these "tributes?" There isn't much here. The
typical monologue we all know too well, and some pictures.
Since there isn't really anything to
quote on this page, I'll just share my opinion.
- The background is perfectly fine
newsprint, but the black font is unreadable because of
the repetition of red-lettered "Newsies" all
over the background.
- The page begins, with the title,
and the usual monologue. It seems every page has that
these days. *yawn*
- Next we have a picture created by
someone else. Not uncommon to newsie pages.
- Ooh a link to something! To the
photo gallery! Let's go look! Ah I see various pictures,
all of which belong to random other people. Pretty much
the same pictures you see on every site.
- What's this? On my way back to the
homepage I get one of those perfectly lovely, and yet
incredibly annoying javascript promts. Isn't this sweet,
it says, '"When I dream on my own, I'm alone but
I ain't lonely. For a dreamer night's the only time of
day.' --Jack Kelly" isn't that precious? I could
cry! Or scream, you choose.
- Next up. Oh! A broken picture. What
a find! It's supposed to be the poster.
- And now, ooh big surprise. It's a
ribbon. Oh and what a witty and charming saying! "Newsie
Fans Unite" I'm touched.
- Next is the one part of the page I
like. It's a bit about Dominic Lucero. Not especially
informative, but the aknowledgment in itself is nice.
- Oh, but darn, the link (using
Dominic's name) doesn't go anywhere. Isn't that a bit
expected?
TEENYBOPPER RATING:

I give this page, 2 out of 4 toxins.
There isn't a whole lot to incriminate it, and the Dominic Lucero
part was nice. Basically it's just boring and needs a kick in the
creative arse.
