| This is a 10 minutes trail to the waterfall from the main Mile 60 road. What a wonderful feeling to be back to this nolstagic waterfall together with Hendrew on the 5th Oct 2003 after 28 years. The last visit we have is back in 1975.. I still remember there is a time where Sin Ping, Hendrew and I cheated our parents and instead of going to tuition in St Paul's School, the 3 of us headed to this waterfall by bicycle. We followed the railway track to come to this swimming spot. The journey took about an hour from town. We swam about 3 hours there and by 5, the weather turned and it began to drizzle. So, on the way using this trail, out of a sudden there is loud cracking noise from the jungle. Our pal, Sin Ping yelled and scared us saying he heard a bear running towards our direction. He began to rush us up. |

| Hearing his yells, we are so scare and the 3 of us cycled the hell of our life with all our might to escape from the bear. We fell several times over the rugged track but owing to the terror behind, we sped like super bikers. Soon, we arrived to the road junction of Jalan Mile 60 and we settled down for a deep breath after learning we are on safe ground. Our blood pressure slowly returned to normal after knowing that there is no bear at all. We have scared ourselves. The culprit is Sin Ping. It is a false alarm and a crazy imagination by Sin Ping for watching too much TV, I think. Subsequently, we retuned home using the railway tracks and upon crossing a small bridge , I slipped and accidently fell into the river ravine without the knowledge of Hendrew and Sin Ping. who are cycling up front. They realised only after a while before turning back to search for me. I moaned in pain under the bridge and with the help of them, I managed to climb up from the river and continue our journey home. I suffered some bruishes and lucky to escape heavy injuries or death. This, I need to be grateful to the the thick undergrowth and bushes beneath the bridge. It served as a cushion when I landed down the way. This is an unforgetable event that has happened in my life and returning to this waterfall give me a refreashing nolstagic mood after a long 28 years. |
