Sit and Learn
(for parents/grandparents of children, ages 3-7) |

| Parents learn how to use practical, easy-to-implement activities to foster children's skills in the areas of visual memory, language development, alphabet and number recognition, math readiness, fine motor development, and learning to read. Each activity is clearly demonstrated and practiced during the workshop. Participants take home a tote box full of materials (over 30 items) they can use right away with their child and a Parent's Manual they can refer to as needed. |

How to Help a Beginning Reader with Spelling, Writing, and Reading
(for parents/grandparents of children, ages 6-9) |

| Participants learn dozens of practical ways to hel a child with reading, spelling, and writing- including specific prompts useful in guiding a beginning reader. Participants receive a parent handbook and a tote bag full og materials to use at home(including magnetic letters, sequence cards, dry erase boards and marker, and children's books). |

| A workshops with a mix of videos, hands-on activities, sharing time, and role-playing. Participants find out how to encourage their children's learning - general guidelines as well as dozens of appealing tutoring strategies and learning games in different subject areas, including math. Participants will be actively involved in constructing materials they can take home to use with their children. Each participant receives a tote bag of materials, including a parent handbook, a book for parents, and a book & tape set. |
