Roxanne Reid stated in a private conversation 6/28/98 that she had gone to the Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn,New York and taken a picture of the gravesite. She did this for Mary Kaye Christensen, who was compiling a book of the burial sites of ancestors. She went on the subway. The man at the office was very helpful in locating the grave and even sent a man to take her in a car to the gravesite where she took a picture for Mary Kaye and sent it to her. She stated that the gravesite was just a stone with nothing written on it. If there had ever been anything written on the gravestone it had since been worn off. Roxanne did not know that William's daughter Margaret also might have been burid there. According to a conversation with Arda Jean Christensen, William was staying with his daughter Margaret in New York at the time of his death.
William died three years before his son William Adam came to America to be with the saints in SLC. William was already in America when he died.
I called the Greenwood Cemetery 6/29/98 and obtained the following information: The Brooklyn Cemetery has been in existence since 1838. The phone number is: 1-718-788-7850. They are open 8am-4pm. They are 478 acres.
Both William Warnock and Margaret Gilmore are buried in the same cemetery and in the same Lot. They are buried in Lot 15213 Section 188. William was originally buried in a single grave in 1861 and then moved to this lot on 19 Nov 1864. Margaret Gilmore was also buried 19 Nov 1864 in this same lot. I sent for the death date and age of death from the Brooklyn Greenwood Cemetery 500 25th Street Attn:Executive Office Brooklyn,New York 11232.
While I was talking to Arda Jean Christensen at the Dastrup Family Reunion, she told me that she has been in New York 3 or 4 times and each time that she went by the Greenwood Cemetery on the freeway she always had a feeling that there was something important about that cemetery. Finally she found out that William Warnock was buried in that cemetery and then she knew why she kept having that feeling.question AF shows bur date 13 Oct 1930. deathdate 2 Dec 1861.

Abraham Washburn was in the School of the Prophets in Nauvoo as well as in the
Nauvoo Legion. He was near the prophet Joseph Smith when he gave his speach to
the Nauvoo Legion. He was on the corner of the stage when Brigham Young gave
the speech where "the mantle of the Prophet Joseph Smith" came upon him.
Abraham told of his voice taking on the tone of the prophets and of his face
looking like Joseph's. Abraham Washburn also worked on the Nauvoo Temple.Property in Nauvoo: (Notations found in the card index of the Nauvoo
