Family Members:

My name is Richard Krycheck, but the citizens of Paragon know me only as "RIDGID protector of innocents". My family is origianlly from Russia, but i was born in the US. My family came to the US to run from the 5th Column who were persuing my father for his know- ledge on Microcellular Energy Transfer (M.E.T). He taught at the University of Paragon in the biophysics dept. U of P is also where I went to College on a full athletic/academic scholorship for Powerlifting. When your close to 7 ft tall 300lbs of muscle you better play some sort of sport.
While in his lab late, the 5th column stormed in and kidnapped my father, to make him release his research on M.E.T. But my father new if in the wrong hands could be death for many innocent people, so keeping his mouth shut, he was tortured to death.
Thats when I dropped out of school to continue and finish his research to avenge my fathers murder. On April 28th, 2004 I disocovered how to tranfer all the extra engery stored in each cell, magnify it and conduct it to tiny conductors, which i was then able to inplant into my fists. And under my control could blast bolts of damaging energy at targets. thats when my life changed forever. Thats when I took on the resposiblities of being RIDGID.

    This is wife Sandy Harrison, (aka MIND MIXER) Born and raised in Boomtown. Her parents owned a convience store until it was destoryed and her parents killed by the ritki war. She was raised by her aunt and uncle in Atlas park. Attended Harvard University for psyciatry, and now works back in Atlas park in her own clinic.
     I met her right after she graduated when she joined my gym and i became her personal trainer. The rest is history, we fell in love and was married the next year, that was 18 years ago.
      During that time she learned of my research, and vowed to get back at the Ritki. I implanted the conductors into the temporal region of her brain allowijg her to funnel the engery and allow her to control the criminal mind, as well as healing her allies when she feels there pain.
   Now together as a family we are able to help keep peace in paragon city and protect those who need us.

    My daughter Sofella (aka DOUBLE DUTY) is an intersting story. Right after my wife and i married we gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. everything was perfect until her 16th bithday. Bella got real sick, massive headaches, fevers, nausea, the whole works. all tests were neagtive, no diagnosis determind. it was a few weeks later bella fell into a coma. our worst fears came true, the doctors classified her as brain dead and left us with the dreaded question about her fate.
     That night a miracle happened, we were visited by Princess Strong Heart and her father, she was a Kheldian princess who was fleeing from her home planet for protection. her father the King wanted her to hide on earth until the kheldian war was over so she could then regain the throne and bring her planet back to its original form. but to survive on this planet she needed to share a human body.
     Thats when the miracle happened.   Princes Strong Heart told us that she could bring our bella back to us if she could share her body. not only did she save our daughter, bella now has wonderful powers beyond our imagination and is using them to help Princes Strong Heart defeat the Nictus who has made their way to earth and protect the citizens of Paragon.

And then there is my Son, Ricky jr. (aka NIGHT BOY). Like any teenage boy, Jr. has to rebel against his old man. But thank god not in a negative way. Jr. finds himself in the shadow of his father all the time, so he hates anything to do with popularity, fame, the press anything that he feels is showing off. So Jr. does what any teenager would do, he blocks himself off from the work and goed GOTH!. hey, it could be worse.
But whats not normal about Jr. is that due to the repeated experimentation on his mother and myself with the META research, Jr.'s DNA was mutated to give him super reflexes and super speed. and the positive thing is that Jr. has accepted these powers fairly easily and has joined us in the fight against crime. But i can tell you this, you will NOT see NIGHT BOY flashing and badges around like his old man does.
