I wanted to create this website for these families who attend Moorfields. I would like to include any relevant information that will help families and I will be contacting the hospital to ask for their support and for updates on any news and information for parents. I would also like to include families stories and photos. If anybody would like to send me their story or a link to a relevant website they have created, please email me and I will include the information on this website. Also, if you would like me to include a link to a charity that deals with their childs eye condition, please let me know as it would be great to have that information available to parents.
For the last couple of years I have been moderating a support group called PVIC for parents of visually impaired children (and children who could become visually impaired due to any eye condition). I, and other parents have found this a great support and I would like more families who attend Moorfields to be aware of this support. As there is already this well established Yahoo support group available to parents who have children going to Moorfields, rather than setting up a seperate yahoo group for this website, I have provided a link to the PVIC group where there are already many families to chat to including many who attend Moorfields. I have also set up an open forum, just for discussing issues relating to attending Moorfields.
This FAMily website for Families Attending Moorfields and the PVIC group for parents, is created by families, for families and any suggestions are welcome. Please pass the details for this website onto other parents and professionals. You can print off a poster here.
