GUILFORD — A local social
worker has been arrested on charges she held a drinking party for a group of
underage teens and was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug
paraphernalia.

The charges stem from an
Oct. 1 incident in which police gained information that underage drinking was
occurring at Rose’s home.
Officers arrived on the
scene and saw youths running into the woods, one carrying a 30-pack of beer,
police said.
Officers entered the house,
where they found more beer cans.
They questioned Rose, who was
present at the time of the drinking, knew it was going on and allowed it,
police said.
Police said the majority of
the youths present during the party were teenagers.
One juvenile was cited the night of the party.
Based on information they
gained in the subsequent investigation, police applied for search-and-seizure
and arrest warrants for Rose.
On Friday, officers searched
the home and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Rose was taken into custody,
processed and released on a promise to appear in court.

was granted in 2000 and is valid through April of 2006.
