Evan Nash
, 14 year-old boy brutally murdered by his father, Hoffine, gunned down
as the boy was running with his coach and teammates. Evan's mother
and father were given joint custody of Evan. Evan's mother begged the
court to award custody to one parent. No change in custody was made.
After brutally gunning down Evan, Hoffine then killed himself. |
| Nathan Grieco , a 16 year-old boy at the frontline of a Custody War. Nathan, his mother, his brothers all told the Court Nathan's father was abusive. Grieco told the Court Nathan's mother had "brainwashed" the children to hate him. "Threat therapy" was used by the Judge who threatened to jail Nathan's mother if Nathan did not visit his father and treat him respectfully. Nathan couldn't take it any more. He hung himself with a leather belt. |

Leticia Pedilla Vasquez
Leticia was trying to get her Restraining order against Vasquez extended.
"As Leticia, the boy and the caseworker approached the entrance, Vasquez
came out of the station, grabbed Leticia by the neck and stabbed her repeatedly
in the chest and the stomach — the knife piercing the restraining order that
she clutched to her breast. After fatally wounding Leticia, Juan Vasquez killed himself by slashing himself as their young son stood between the two parents and watched the bloody incident unfold." |
