Chapter Two: Plan How Your Family Will Live With It
Every family is different and whether a family chooses nursing home care, an assisted living facility or home care they must have a plan.

Topics and Discussion:

Talk to your family about what to expect from the disease and what role each member of the fmaily wants to play in living with the disease.

What are the roles that each member of the family can play in living with the disease?

What are the options for living with the disease?

How will the disease change the decisions that the family must make over the 5 - 7 years?

How can you talk to your family about it?

What steps to follow to set up a family meeting?

What are the care options for each stage of the disease?

What part can the children of the family play in living iwth the disease?

How can you put together a family scrapbook with notes from the ill loved one for later for everybody?

This message board is just us family.  I've said all along that I would turn the Max experience into my first book and since the "Complete Idiots Guide to Caregiving" is coming out I figured that I should hurry.  Family help would be great.
