Let us conduct ourselves properly as in the day... But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh. (Romans 13: 13 -14)

I have this daily schedule chart which shows what I do everyday. It shows what I do in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening. It shows that I, as a student, study from this time to that time; and so do the other things. I thought I was already "busy" until I found out that I still have lots of spaces in the chart. It showed that at specific times I was doing nothing.

In today's passage, Saint Paul tells us to, "make no provision for the desires of the flesh." It means to fill up those wasted time with the Lord Jesus. Saint Paul also tells us, "to conduct ourselves properly as in the day." We are told to be holy, set apart for God. Always following the leading of the Holy Spirit. It means to be always attuned to God so that we will hear His Voice.

So back to my story, I filled those empty spaces with time to be with God by reading His Word. Try it yourself, make your own chart and see that there's time to spend with God always -- even in the rush and busyness of daily life.

Lord, help me to follow the leading of your Spirit everyday. Help me to see that there's always time to spend with You. In Jesus' name. Amen
