| The story of this elf wizard has roots as far back as his youth. From his youth, Selnes had endured many challenges and hardships -- with the first of never knowing his mother, since she died when he was a wee lad and only had his father to tell stories of his mother. For a time, Selnes and his father roamed the lands looking for a place to settle down and start a new. Their journeys became an interesting tale, seeing as Selnes's father was a wizard of sorts, and Selnes himself was so young. During these journeys, his father made an apprentice out of him in the studies of the mystic arts. Selnes learned much about the mystic arts and became quite intwined its powers. The years passed and both father and son grew more knowlegeable of the mystic ways, but these journeys took a toll on his father. Selnes's father became tired and short of breath with each new village they passed through. When Selnes's father finally found a place to settle down, Selnes was still set on the journeys ahead of him. After seeing that his father was well off in his new home, Selnes took off with the knowledge that his father taught him, the clothes on his back, and dreams of grand adventurers. |

| For many years, Selnes traveled from town to town seeking any and all adventures that arose, but never found one that seemed worthwhile enough, but more of a task to be done. Selnes met quite a number of people on his adventure hunts, some that tagged along with him till the next village and became good friends and others rivals From the bunch, one stood out, A'mithra Silvermist. Selnes noticed that she was seeking adventurers of her own while also noticing that she had greater cause to her quests. Selnes noticed that they were both following a path that was leading in the same direction. So the two teamed up and eventually found their way to the city of Never Winter where their grand adventure awaited them. |

| "One of the very first that has accompanied me during my travels. Polite and a little quiet at times, this individual is of great assistance. Very quick to act and ready to further the ends of the party -- Selnes is an excellent practioner of the mystic arts. Though he is also a puzzle... I do not fear his magics nor should I have good reason to. He has a warm heart and I am well humbled to be in his company. However, this wizard's mind remains foreign to me. Mostly talking in riddles or phrases, it is sometimes hard to reply within this context. Obviously a proud elven mage. This kind of folk reminds me of those back home -- minus the hatred towards me.
