| Red-necked Grebe - Last reported in Falmouth area: 09/04/2007 at Stithians Reservoir from the southern causeway.. The photo below shows the species in summer plumage which is rather unusual to see but this was a particularly late stayer. They are more often seen on the sea in winter, favouring protected bays in rough weather. Falmouth Bay and the Carrick Roads are the preferred sites around the Falmouth area but one may turn up at College Reservoir one day! |
