Argal Reservoir was pretty quiet this afternoon, partly due to a huge thunderstorm but I hid in the hide at the far end of the reservoir from the dam and all was well. Interestng birds of note included a
Grey heron and a couple of Cormorants from the hide and at least 6 chiffchaffs calling from bracken on the northern slope.

My first trip to Argal Reservoir this morning. It didn't rain and I was treated to good views of
Little egret and a Common Sandpiper from the hide here.

Stithians Reservoir was a must this weekend while I still had use of a car and after a lovely meal at the Golden Lion Pub (near the Northern Causeway) I proceeded to the Southern Causeway where the
WILSON'S PHALAROPE was showing distantly, but not hiding at least! Also reported were 2 little stints and 3 pectoral sandpipers which I didn't have time to look for.
