in the second year we used to go town during lunch time (which was disallowed) and go to the toy shop winkworths now a brewery shop, and proceed to steal as much as we could. we would use many techniques included the broken arm in a sling using the sling to hide goods, and in the extreme a cardboard box. On one occasion we got caught by the head master as we came back into school and we all got an after school detention, never got caught for the stealing. My friends mum got suspisious when he had a lego set she had not bought and he confessed. I heard his mum was gonna ring mine so my sis acted as my mum when she rang so i never got into trouble...nice one sis!
In the first year of high school we had Mr Roswarne for CDT and we had to make something, i decided to make a key holder, but just couldnt sand the edges smooth and by the time it was time to hand it in, the plank of wood i had was sanded down to nothing and was made to stand on the bench while he proceeded to shout as loud as he could at me.
The following year we had to make a 3D animal using interlocking pieces of handmade ply, but only 2 pieces could be cut on the electric fret saw, i cut all on it and at the end was heavily praised for my work unknown to him i had cheated.
I remember when our science teacher (oldish lady cant recall her name) took us outside and on the way back in she slipped on her arse outside the music block on the concrete slope. Everyone burst out laughing and no one helped her up.
The only day i ever scived off school was when most of the class went to the royal cornwall show, But since so many people went i was not noticed as missing.
And does anyone the sampson-laury fight on the tennis courts, half the school must of watched and the teachers wouldnt intervien and left them to it.
I was suppose to fight this shabby kid called vernon, but someone pushed my friend robert ??? (nobby) into him and they ended up fighting; but he did a fine job...cheers.
And the girls sarah bevington (who i recently recieved an email from) and claire gough plus a few others who i cant remeber thier names who used to stalk us around the school, those we the days.
