French Honor Society

The French Honor Society at Fallston High School
was established and is sponsored by Ms. Kimberly A. Smith.

Aims of the Society

The aims of the French Honor Society are:

1. to stimulate interest in the study of French,
2. to promote high standards of scholarship,
3. to reward scholastic attainments,
4. to create enthusiasm for and an understanding of francophone culture and civilization,
5. to promote and perpetuate international friendship, and
6. to reward efforts toward futhering solidarity in the French-speaking world.

Requirements for Membership

Requirements for induction into La Soci�t� Honoraire de Fran�ais:

1. You must be actively engaged in the study of French at the secondary level.
2. You must be in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.
3. You must be enrolled in the fourth semester of French.
4. You must have maintained an A- average or higher in French during the semester of selection as well as a cumulative semester average of A-.
5. You must maintain a B- average or higher in all other subjects during the semester of selection as well as a cumulative average of B-.

Requirements for maintaining membership in La Soci�t� Honoraire de Fran�ais:

1. You must continue to study French in high school.
2. You must maintain an A- average in French.
3. You must maintain a B- average overall.
