Recorded in January of 1999. Released on March 19th, 1999. 3,300 CD's pressed in America and 2000 CD's pressed in Europe. 2000 LP's pressed and I think there were 200 on Red. This album is still in press in America and in Europe. The CD was pressed on the Reno branch of RPT and was financed all by the Watson brothers. Genet Records in Belgium licensed the record for European distribution and will stop selling them when he has ran through his 2000. We still have about 150 copies of the RPT version at my house, but they are carried by all of your favorite distributors around the country and world. They will be gone in 6 months so you had better get yours fast before they are gone for good. Satan's Pimp Records and 702 Records released the vinyl version of that album and will continue pressing the album until no one cares anymore. This album was the first time we recorded with only one guitar player and our new bass player Roger Colestock. As you may have noticed, there is over a year gap in between the recording of the 1997 tracks and the SuperStructure tracks. That was because Dan, Damon, and I had to put together a new band and start from scratch. We spent the last months of 1997 and all of 1998 writing and saving up to record this album. We wanted it to be the best sounding project we ever did and we wanted this album to be the one that made everyone aware of who we were and what we were capable of. The recordings went fabulous and we all played really well. I wish I could redo the vocals now because I hate the way they sound, but I would rather try and do better on our next record. I also think that the vocals are a bit low in spots and the drums could have been recorded better, but the guitar tone is really cool and I couldn't be happier with that. Overall it sounds great and we released it as fast as we could. We did an extensive 8 week American tour for this album which came close to breaking the band up for good. Seven people in a van, in America, in the summer, with band tension at it's peak were too much for us. We survived the tour, but became drastically stagnant afterwards. I was living at the Lakeside Drive apartment still when this album came out, but things in my life were about to take a drastic turn for the worse. discography |
