No Strength To Suffer lp/cd - revolutionary power tools

This was recorded in March of 1996 and released in June or July of 1996. There were 1000 LP's made and none of them were on colored vinyl. What was cool about this record is that it was packaged in a white envelope with a sticker on the front. I was the only one who knew how to get them in that envelope really good so I was the one who stuffed all those fuckers. It was OK though. I was really excited cause it was our first full length and we thought it sounded really good. This was also our first CD and we couldn't afford to put them in jewel cases cause we spent all our money on the recording. We got all these white CD holding envelopes with a round window on one side and sealed them with a sticker on the other side. It contained a lyric book and the CD. It was really convienient to mail out the copies to zines and distros cause it was so small and light. There were 1000 pressed with the envelopes. Later on we decided to do a full jewel case package for that album with full color covers and professional looking graphics. There were 2000 of those pressed with the jewel cases. So there were 3000 of No Strength to Suffer adding the envelope copies and the jewel case copies. We sold the last of those in 1999.

Mike Cheese of Gehenna was originally going to release the record on his label Revolutionary Power Tools (RPT), but was short on cash at the time. We had already started the artwork for the album so we kept his address on the packaging along with our address. This was the start of the Reno branch of RPT records because we put out this album on our own and distributed it ourselves.

Damon and I had moved to the Lakeside Drive apartment while the rest of the band members spread out around the Reno area. Things started to really pick up for the band with this album and we started to realize that we could be more than just a Reno band and we could actually get out there and do a tour of the US, which we did to support the album in the summer of 1996 with Gehenna (US). Dan thought of the title of this album.
